Does this statistics include institutions that already own bitcoin?
In my estimation by the time, 10% of the word population would show an interest in acquiring bitcoin do people controlling bitcoin would have been the government or this big financial institutions that would make sure it is highly regulated and that these folks go through them.

Government/institutions control Bitcoin? I don't know if you think it could be possible in the future but Bitcoin is decentralized, the government can't fully control it nor can they change the fixed supply of Bitcoin they can only regulate exchanges but not control Bitcoin.

Maybe you meant to say that they could cause an fud that would influence the market, even at that it would be short term and not permanently. That's why people should embrace self custody wallet so the government won't have access to control their coins through exchanges.
