Unstoppable wallet, Bitcoin fee and mempool space

Guys, unstoppable wallet brought a new update and now I can't auto send Bitcoin, before this new update the wallet will calculate the transaction fee my itself when you click on all, like you want to send out all your balance.

Now it's always empty, like you will need to insert your own amount of fee you can afford, I don't like this because a newbie can insert too little amount and the transaction will get stucked for longer days.

Since I am not that type of a newbie I know that something called mempool space exists.
I grabbed my phone and open the mempool.space but it's not working, probably because of my location? Or mempool is down for good?

What other platform that works like mempool to be up to date with transaction fee?
Is there a workaround for the unstoppable wallet not doing the math itself?

That's why every newbie needs to learn before engaging in transactions not because of this alone but because of how sensitive transaction can be in general.
You can't just use the cover of anything auto to carry out transactions, I am not completely against it but I believe you need to have good knowledge of transaction no matter what

You can't be a newbie and don't know the basic things in transactions and still go ahead carrying them out, you would be setting yourself for lots of damages financially.

Do you have a github or any link to the details of the update? I couldn't find info on it in their telegram channel.

Mempool.space is working fine for me. But it's sometimes unresponsive for me too, when it does thay you can try with a different browser.

Which version are you referring to?

I have the version 0.52.2 on my device. On the version, it is estimating the fee for me. But at the upper right corner of the page, is what that I click on which is where I can customize the fee.

I do not think Unstoppable wallet will do something like that, but let us know the version that you are discussing about. But according to what I found out, 0.52.2 is the latest version.

The two things looks related.

If you cannot access mempool.space through the browser, and unstoppable is using that (I believe they do?) the API request to get the fee could be failing in the wallet and that's why it's not returning anything. I'd try to use a VPN to see if that helps, it could solve both of your issues.

I think everyone who uses non-custodial wallets needs to be aware of transaction fees. Yes, it's true that if they are completely new, they may not know about it and in their case, the transaction may take longer to complete due to the lower tx fee.

I also definitely don't want a shitty feature like Trust Wallet where users don't allow to set transaction fees.

And in case of memepool down there is google or chatgpt just prompt there "give me a list of bitcoin blockchain explorer which show Transaction Fees priorities."

You got it all wrong, they normally use same fee as mempool, most times the fee is around $0.12 - $0.18, the auto fee is well calculated as always, don't say because I am a newbie that I should just send BTC based on the fee that I was given, I know what I am doing.

Choose a different wallet that provides you with this same feature you are talking about and your problem is solved, you don't have to continue using the wallet if you know that it's going to be stressful for you going to check current transaction fees on mempool, bluewallet is also safe to use.

Although, I recommend you also check that you are using the latest version of that wallet, at times if you are on the old version, you could experience this. I don't see any reason why such feature will be removed from a wallet.

I can not use Unstoppable wallet for bitcoin transactions because I do not think it is supporting sending with less than 1 sat/vbyte fee rate. It is presently estimating 1 sat/vbyte right now, but the mempool is so decongested to the extent that 0.2 sat/vbyte can be used for making transaction right now.

I always prefer to use https://jochen-hoenicke.de/queue/#BTC,24h,weight for it.

Unstoppable wallet is not estimating the fee rate less than 1 sat/vbyte.

Isn't the unstoppable wallet similar to electrum on android phones that automatically takes a fee from your electrum balance amount if I'm not mistaken in my experience here.

Now if you're not comfortable with that wallet, there are other choices that you can try using, there's also cake wallet, electrum and others, right?

You need to make your post more understandable. Or if I understood you correctly, it is normal for a wallet to take the fee from the wallet balance automatically after you set the fee which is part of the UTXOs you have on your bitcoin addresses. This is not what Lontor is asking about. What is he posting about is how Unstoppable does estimate the fee rate for him.

Although, I am using version version 0.52.2. Unstoppable wallet estimated the fee and I can customize the fee.

Check the wallet settings to see if the fee estimation source was disabled or switched to manual in the recent update. Some wallets allow you to toggle dynamic fee estimation back on or choose different built-in providers. Make sure the app itself is fully updated to the latest patch, as release bugs are often fixed quickly.

If that site is blocked in your region or temporarily unreachable, you can check recommended sat/vB rates on any standard public Bitcoin blockchain explorer or fee tracking dashboard. Searching for an alternative Bitcoin fee estimator will give you current priority rates to plug in manually.

Also make sure Replace-by-Fee (RBF) is enabled in your wallet settings before sending. That way, if you accidentally set the rate too low, you can easily bump the fee later instead of having the transaction stay stuck in the queue. Never share your seed phrase with anyone offering help.

They didn't remove it, it's just working slower than the usual after that new Send GUI that they've implemented.
If you just wait for a few seconds while in that "Confirm Send" dialogue, the "n/a" network fee will be updated to its estimated amount.
But yeah, it's slow, it's inconvenient and it's more preferable to put a manual fee than waiting for their estimate.

BTW, there's a latest version 0.53 that's just released yesterday.
I also updated and the estimate is still slow, took a long 28 sec to update from "n/a" to estimated amount the last time I tried.

Unstoppable wallet is like the other wallets will have to connect to servers and get necessary information.

I have been unable to access https://mempool.space/ for weeks and I am unable to access the site with VPN also, but someone in my country posted that he was able to access it with the ISPN. I was able to access it fast using Starlink which I have been using for it since I bought it. Some people will still not be able to access the site with VPN.
