While you're trying to persuade one client, you're losing ten. If you impose your product on him, it does not mean that the client is ready to agree with you that he needs your product. Rather, it will be an attempt to get rid of the intrusive seller. If you are a professional, you will not let him go without buying the first time. The same applies to all the areas you want to talk about.

But why is this topic located in the Bitcoin section? What kind of crypto projects are you talking about? There is one here, and it doesn't need to be imposed on anyone. Bitcoin is like the wind, and people come to it according to their growing up.

For me, the biggest trust signal is how a project behaves when something goes wrong. Almost every project looks professional while everything is working and the market is going up.
After an exploit, outage or failed update, you quickly see the difference. Does the team explain what happened, fix the problem and answer difficult questions, or do they delete criticism and blame the users ?
I also become suspicious when a website talks more about possible returns than about how the product actually works. Clear documentation, known limitations and honest risk warnings are more convincing to me than partnerships or influencer promotions.

For those in crypto, what makes you trust a project enough to put your money into it and when did you regret any investment?

What makes me trust a project enough to put my money into cryptocurrency is the credibility of the people behind it, the scope of the project, the feasibility of the project, and the transparency of the reward/profit offered.

The one that made me regret any investment was when I failed to do thorough research and just rode the hype built around the project.  The failure to cash out at the right time and end up with worthless shitcoins.

In crypto, I imagine the challenge is even greater because people are worried about scams, losing money, and not knowing who to trust.
You can make all the promises you w,ant, but once people feel deceived, winning them back is the most difficult thing to achieve.

I think crypto projects could do better by being honest about their risks instead of making everything sound like an opportunity to get rich.

For those in crypto, what makes you trust a project enough to put your money into it and when did you regret any investment?

Crypto is not Bitcoin but Bitcoin is not crypto that's said. Bitcoin is the only coin in the history of cryptocurrcency that has never failed anyone. If you have invested in Bitcoin in the last 10 years, you will know that you have made one the best purchase in your life. The problem is the altcoins that are trying to use Bitcoin privileges to do what Bitcoin has done forgetting that their coins can never be like Bitcoin, they can't do what Bitcoin has done, not even the trust.

Most people that are launching new crypto are dishonest people, they take large supply of the coins and once they sell, they hold the rest and sale gradually and move into the next coin. We now large number of people that are supposed to be holder that are now teams that launch coins all in the name of making money. Unlike the days when coins were for investors, now the team comes before other people, this is why bull run is not coming back I guess.

There are no new projects that interest me, and even when I have to try to investigate them, I choose to trade Bitcoin. The reason is very clear, faith in Bitcoin is a great force that continually drives Bitcoin to reach new prices. I have read and heard that it is very difficult to find a project that is truly honest and is sure to succeed. It is like looking for a needle in a haystack. Very difficult, I choose to work on something that definitely exists and has repeatedly proven itself, like Bitcoin. No other project has been able to match Bitcoin because today Bitcoin grows from trust, and that is purely from the demand, not manipulation. IMO

Don't put your trust too higher but just it was so when the thing is not work as you expect and falls, you will not be too sad. I put my trust to Bitcoin and I realize that anything could happen to Bitcoin but I only used as it is.

So that work with crypto projects. If you want to invests, just invest the amount you can afford so if the project fails, you will not too disappoint and can move on. The regret comes when the project fail and make us lost but if that is the amount you can afford, you can move on.
To be fair, that type of low trust in bitcoin itself is not needed; you can trust it enough. Just realise that it will not be right away. Of course it can drop; it goes down all the time, and it is very common for bitcoin to have bear periods. There is no doubt about that. But at the same time, you are talking about something that is not that much of a big deal; it is fine and can make a lot of profit. So if you think of it as a long-term investment and don't really worry about the future, then you will
make a lot of money.

One downside is that if you do need money urgently for some reason and Bitcoin is in its bear period and going down, you will be losing money. Look at what happened to MicroStrategy; those guys made great purchases, but Bitcoin went down and caused them to sell; timing is important.

Your Experience and you related it to Bitcoin doesn't really fit. She's one person. The developers has to deal with people they can't see. It's not like the founder of Bitcoin made it a point of duty to message everyone personally, if he did; I didn't get my message from him.

Let's say I answer your question, my answer will be the coin or cryptocurrency other than Bitcoin I want to put my money into has to solve a problem or render a service bringing something new and unique to the table.

~~~
Personally my trust in crypto comes from what a project actually does not just what the team says, because I firstly check whether it is transparent, whether the team keeps their promises and there is a real use for the token not just speculation. Even after all these observations or considerations I don’t think anybody should invest the amount of money they can afford to lose. Because a project can look genuine now and can still fail later, so that is why I prefer to take my time and do research instead of rushing in because it is trending
Working in sales has taught me one thing: people don't just buy a product; they buy trust.
I've seen how difficult it can be to convince someone to try something new. I remember one of the experiences I had where I was a sales person for a multinational FMCG company to follow up with a customer that was disgruntled, for about 6 months I was on her without anything success but I didn't relent. I made it a point of duty to visit her twice every week, just to see her, ask how her business is doing  and repeat the process again. Overtime we became friends and she is still a customer today for over 7 years now.
 In crypto, I imagine the challenge is even greater because people are worried about scams, losing money, and not knowing who to trust.
It is as a result of the scam that people have gone through the crypto space, that is why a lot of persons are skeptical about investing in crypto related assets, and this is why those of us that are Bitcoin enthusiast, we don't waste our time preaching the Gospel of investing into other crypto asset except but only Bitcoin, this is because bitcoin has stood the test of time, and has also earned people's trust, so you're not only selling a currency, you're selling trust, you're selling longevity and you're selling a worthy asset.
Thanks for your comment. As a traditional salesman, I understand that there is a relation between earning customer trust and investing in  crypto, because you also need to trust a platform before you invest with it. As a newbie in the world of cryptocurrency, I am trying to see the relation and also learn from opinion of experienced people in the subject how to not fall prey. That informs the reason why the post fits this section and also that even though Bitcoin, just Iike Coca-Cola has been trusted over the years, people still fall prey to fraudsters which is why experience of professionals is needed and we happen to have a lot of them here.
Working in sales has taught me one thing: people don't just buy a product; they buy trust.
I  thought people bought feelings (how the irem makes them feel) and that can be related to the crypto industry as well, people aren't investing because they knew they need Bitcoin but because they want to feel among. Humans are always quick to do something to make them feel a certain way and that's why we see amature investors buying during the FOMO and selling during any FUD scenarios.
Lets talk about investment in altcoins, it's because they want to feel what the earlier investors in Bitcoin felt that's why they're investing and not because they see guarantee profits. It's just a matter of time and you'll see money following into that sector again (altcoins).
So you can't say they have learnt their lesson from the last time as they haven't and all they're chasing after is a feeling that's why I said in the start of my reply that people buy how a product (investment) makes them feel and not necessary if they need the product or not that's why,  you'll always see people owning things they never really needed.
With altcoins, most of them are very weak, useless and dangerous so most people who spent money to buy altcoins and tokens, then intentionally hold those altcoins/ tokens or stucked and had to hold these ones, eventually had severe losses.
Even top altcoins are not safe for investors.
Don't buy altcoins because they are top altcoins.
Many top altcoins failed or died according to Cryptocurrency historical data snapshots over years.
I think you missed the neat part about Bitcoin, you don't need to trust anybody it's all opensource.
Have doubts? see the code yourself. Don't want to trust anyone? use trustless P2P system, it's the exact reason why Bitcoin is thriving especially in this digital age.
When institutions and companies keep asking your data and ask you to trust the way they manage your money, Bitcoin instead let you see what really happen under the curtain.
You can monitor the transparent blockchain, and you can even create your own project if you don't feel satisfied.
This kind of thing only possible in a system where the code is law, just like Bitcoin.
Of course, we buy something for a reason, and we'll definitely assess whether the product is good or not, and its long-term prospects. So, quality is always a question. If it's good, it has the potential to be good in the long term, and we, as business owners, will certainly have the potential for long-term success
In short, I'll just conclude with BTC, which I consider a good asset. Other cryptocurrencies have weaknesses due to their lack of decentralization, and most are simply looking for profit. However, strangely, many people still invest in altcoins, even though altcoins are certainly different from BTC. Basically, if we invest our money in altcoins, the risk is very high, and I definitely prefer investing in BTC. Investing in altcoins isn't for the long term, but only for short-term trading
