I'm researching the main technical considerations involved in launching a BEP20 token on BNB Smart Chain, and a few areas seem particularly important for anyone planning a token project.
Token supply: Decide whether the token will have a fixed supply or require controlled minting.
Contract permissions: Define who can mint, pause, or manage other privileged functions.
Testing: Check transfers, balances, supply rules, and access permissions before deployment.
Wallet and dApp compatibility: Identify which integrations the project actually needs.
Security review: Consider whether the contract requires an independent audit based on its complexity and intended use.
The right approach depends on the project's purpose, so it is worth defining the requirements before development begins.
For anyone comparing development approaches, this BEP20 token development resource outlines services and considerations related to building tokens on BNB Smart Chain.
What do you consider the most important step when planning a BEP20 token: tokenomics, contract design, testing, or integration?

BNB Chain is part of the Cosmos Ecosystem, so it is a POS chain. Pardon my knowledge, but I thought POS chains are inflationary in nature, instead of having fixed supply.

The most important part of a token is its associated use cases (it shouldn't be like some "farmed token" where you earn through some actions, and then you can simply sell it away. Such use case will cause the price to go down).

There also shouldn't be any sort of "developer fund" or "founder fund". It should be 100% fair launch.

But these days and age, any new tokens are hard to survive unless very careful thought is put into developing one.

What OP mentioned related to the BSC smartchain(EVM) while you talked about the BNB beacon chain which is already shutdown last years. So i think it's not relevant by mentioned beacon chain which is already dead.

As for OP, honestly, i put all of focus on the contract design. A small loophole can cost the live of your proect. It's also becoming the main loophole that often targeted by the hackers. We have so many projects went bankrupt due to the exploit, it should tell us a lesson to put contract and its function as the most important aspect.

This is also the reason why so many projects hired various auditors to ensure they won't let a loophole to miss, then the project they built for years is getting die in matter of hours.

If I were to develop a BEP20 token i'd use existing solidty smart contract library from reputable auditor like OpenZeppelin, the independent auditor usually wouldn't charge standard practices like this and only charge the glue and the contract code you wrote which means you just saved a lot of money for your upcoming security audit.

If you adhere to BEP20 standard protocol for your token, the compability within dapps and wallets already come with it, it will automatically detected on any platform that supports the protocol.
