What is your opinion about Gram aka TON coin?

Yes, the TON coin was rebranded to GRAM on 15 July 2026; however, its Layer 1 blockchain called The Open Network retained the TON abbreviation.  While it may have dropped from its all time high of $8.235 on 14 June 2024, it is currently ranked #27 on Coin Market Cap (CMC).  It seems there could be some potential here.

To be honest TON which is now known as GRAM did pretty well during the year of airdrop (2024). Then GRAM was doing so well due to the new telegram mini app feature back then . Which actually made GRAM to Rose from the price range of $0.5-$8 . Then I made some few profit from it too cause I was holding some portion because I was participating in their airdrops too. Though now I don’t know how they will do and I’m not the type that recommend altcoins to folks , is left for you (op) to do your own research and take risk in accordance to your risk tolerance.

It is still alive? How time flies, if I'm not mistaken, it was hot like a year or two, but suddenly it remains quiet and I don't know if there is an update on it or what's really going on with TON.

It was the hype back then with tap to earn if I'm not mistaken as it was the pioneer that time. And then it exploded many projects copied it because there was so many investors who are willing to invest and push the price. But just like any other hype, after that initial burst, it going to die down a natural death.

Price drop from $8,24 to around $1,22 makes this coin a potentially good investment, especially considering that the Gram (GRAM) ecosystem linked to Telegram boasts a large user base. Well, that’s if you’re asking about its potential from an investment & financial perspective. In terms of technology, Gram (GRAM) theoretically holds several advantages over other leading altcoins, but I think I would still choose Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL) or BNB (BNB) over Gram (GRAM).

I knew about TON during the tap-to-earn airdrop era in 2024, there was even a tap to earn airdrop that rewarded some persons with the TON coin while some of those projects later started to asked members to claim their tokens using TON as fee. It was only during that period that I saw the coin trending, it didn't do a better during the bull season, the all time high was since 2024, if the coin was really of value, it should have pumped to a new all time high in 2025. The project looks so quite, I won't consider it.

Yeah that's true because most airdrops was launching under the TON chain so that they would use it to steal the coin from people. Meanwhile from the last time I saw this coin there wasn't any name like gram attached to it so I was surprised seeing Gram to be the same as the TON, actually I didn't know that they have changed the coin name, during the time it was trending most people was very optimistic that the coin would rise very high after a year but unfortunately I'm surprised to see that the price is still very low compare to how it was in those days.
