Mainnet is live: launched Sunday 8 November 2026 at 14:00 UTCMining opened to everyone at the same minute. The genesis block was made that morning and carries this headline:
Opacra genesis | 2026-11-08 | Sao Paulo Grand Prix: Lando Norris and George Russell hoping for more rain in race after wet qualifying
Genesis block hash:
64a7ed2d529301d4b355358c159eaa980a7faccf0f336b5359053c1a8245d356
The code refuses any block dated before 14:00 UTC, so nobody, the project included, could mine a single block early.
No premine. No ICO, presale or private sale. No airdrop. Full block rewards from block 1.
Start miningDownload Opacra v1.0.1 (Windows and Linux, 64-bit) through
opacra.org/start.html. The links lead to the signed release on
GitHub. On Windows, unzip it and double-click
Start Opacra mainnet. On Linux, the page has one command that downloads, checks and starts it. The first time it creates your wallet: write down the 25 words. It mines with a quarter of your processor; the page shows how to use more.
SHA-256 of the downloads:

The first blocks come quickly while the difficulty finds its level. That's expected, and it settles within the first hour. Mainnet addresses start with
Pa.
What Opacra isOpacra is a private coin with its own blockchain, built on Monero's code (v0.18.5.1, with Monero's fixes up to v0.18.5.4). The privacy layer is Monero's, unchanged: it doesn't invent its own cryptography.
- Private by default: every payment hides the sender, the receiver and the amount (ring signatures with 16 members, stealth addresses, RingCT, Bulletproofs+, Dandelion++).
- Auditable by choice: the owner can prove a payment (payment proofs), a balance (reserve proofs), or give someone a view-only wallet.
- 30-second blocks: received coins can be spent again after 10 blocks, about 5 minutes. Mined coins unlock after 60 blocks, about 30 minutes.
- Mined on ordinary CPUs with RandomOPCA, a RandomX variant with its own salt. LWMA difficulty keeps blocks steady as miners come and go.
Supply- 10,000,000 OPCA on a smooth curve (about 22% emitted in year 1, 71% after 5 years), then 0.05 OPCA a block for ever (about 0.5% a year, falling).
- 95% of each block's new coins go to the miner, plus all fees.
- 5% goes to a development fund at a fixed address in the code, with a published view key, so anyone can check every coin it receives.
Fund address:

69416fd0f64a86d2f3053d9ec1ed072daa83e8970d5fb7c63ab81657834a0101
The fund's keys are kept offline. Wallets never use fund coins as decoys, so the fund's public view key doesn't weaken anyone else's privacy. Every payment the fund makes will be published with its transaction ID and payment proof.
Protecting a young chainNew proof-of-work chains are easiest to attack in their first weeks. Opacra publishes emergency checkpoints, signed with DNSSEC under opacra.org and opacra.com (both must agree). The seed nodes, pools and exchanges follow them; home miners' nodes warn if their chain disagrees, and opacra.org would ask miners to follow them only during an actual attack. Checkpoints are published several times on launch day and daily during the early weeks, and every one is logged.
Pools (alphabetical; each has said it will keep itself below 40% of the network and follow the checkpoints):
- AriaPool: opca.ariabrain.com:3367 (solo mode: port 3368, 0% fee), 1% fee, payouts from 0.1 OPCA
- NurseryPool: opca.nurserypool.com:9055, 1% fee, payouts from 0.1 OPCA
- Opacra pool, run by the project, from 15:00 UTC: pool.opacra.org:4242, 1% fee, payouts from 0.33 OPCA
AriaPool and NurseryPool are run by their own operators. Spreading your hashrate across pools keeps a young chain safe.
Other pool operators: we ask pools to keep below 40% of the network hashrate, run your node with
--enforce-dns-checkpointing, and pay miners the coinbase minus the 5% fund output (the last output of the miner transaction). Mainnet ports: P2P 29960, RPC 29961, ZMQ 29962. The Opacra build of XMRig (algorithm
rx/opca) is at
github.com/opacra/opacra-xmrig.
The testnet keeps runningTestnet 3 runs on with the same v1.0.1 download (
Start Opacra testnet), for trying things out. Its explorer has moved to
testnet-explorer.opacra.org.
Testnet coins have no value and never become mainnet coins.
Being open about it- The code has been reviewed by an experienced cryptocurrency developer. It has not had a professional security audit. This is experimental software.
- The founder mines from the launch minute with a few home computers, on exactly the same terms as everyone else.
- Releases are signed with the Opacra release key, fingerprint D861 7219 6FEC AAB6 84F5 B3FD CB65 D212 D0B1 162B. The Windows programs aren't code-signed yet, so Windows may ask you to choose "Run anyway". Windows Security blocks every XMRig build, for every coin; the launcher doesn't need XMRig.
- There are two seed nodes today (Europe and the US). They don't keep logs of where payments come from. More seed nodes at other providers come after launch.
Official links and safetyOpacra's only accounts are this thread,
@opacra_org on X and the
Opacra Discord. Download only through the links on
opacra.org; they lead to
github.com/opacra. Any other download site is not ours. The team never messages you first, and never asks for your 25 words, your password or a payment. OPCA isn't listed on any exchange; any listing will be announced here and on opacra.org only once trading is live.
Opacra is experimental software. Nothing here is investment advice, and nobody guarantees OPCA will have any value.
