I Purchased in bulk Sapphire R9 290 and 290x Tri-x's. These cards run incredibly quite and cool compared to others.
My 290 Tri-x in one rig is running without any external fans on it at 65c and 840 k/hs (not pushing it very hard) was up to 880-90 when pushed higher.
The 290 Tri-x is $475 and the 290x are $675 Each, so far have only gotten it up to 940 out of the box. Have not tweaked it yet, if anyone has a configuration they would like to share please text to me and I will display the results on screen shot.
I also have 4 Sapphire R9 290x cards for $600 each, they are being run right now in a rig that I am switching out for these Tri-x cards. Original boxes and receipt ($650 each) from Bh Photo to cover the warranty should anything happen. 5 MSI R9 290x available as well for $600.
