A Brazilian exchange, Mercado Bitcoin were hacked on November 2nd (Source). This is getting more and more troublesome. And at this point, I'm led to believe that AI is actually playing a big role in these incidents because it's too much to be just a coincidence—the AI bubble + the numerous hacks.

Or is it just pure desperation from hackers?

Tether also freezes USDT (4.5M USDT) related to the incident.
