Bring Back our Monthly Overview

Since when I join this forum come identify for Naija local board, I dey always dey wait make month end make I fit see the overview of the activities wey happen for the board. This record na our own person Amphenomenon dey always bring am come for end of every month and he don try well well to do do the work.

This update dey always help person to see his work and improve his activities. But since when he bring the July update for August https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5357434.msg67093481#msg67093481, I don't check that thread tire but I never see anything again.

Observation:

E be like say Amphenomenon na very busy man and he fit no dey always see time to take run  every thing wey he dey do wey come make an no come dey see time to dey arrange our overview.

My suggestion:

I go suggest make he follow our Moderator wey be Igebotz to reason, come assign the work give another person wey fit dey get chance to dey run am. E go even make the person dey run am early for first week.

I no get interest for who wan take up the job but make we no allow the board like this because that over view dey help person like me to dey  checkmate my activities for here.

Nice point Decimetre, the update is very necessary as e dey give us statistics on the performance of our LB, however dem no lock dat thread, e for beta say you reply dia dan to create new thread altogether. You go still get him attention dia. De overview thread is backward by 3 months already, Amphenomenon pls bring de updates!!

Good advice and yes Amphenomenon could be very busy and I hope him and the moderator fit align, although pending their interactions if anyone fit run am the person may relate so, we can't even completely understand Amphenomenon schedule and if he had stop for this long then there is a reasonable cause for that.
And I agree with OP the monthly overview is very important to new and old users if this board and it would be great to have it back up running.

Let's just believe Amphenomenon will address this, to tell us whether he will continue with the monthly overview, or let someone else continue with it from where he stopped, because of how busy life is with him currently

That being said, there's nothing bad about having someone stand as a backup or replacement in case of anything that is beyond his ability to make him afford bringing the update as usual; honestly, I must also applaud him over time for the consistent updates because this is not just easily done, as many of us might have thought; it takes time and extra effort.

The intention no be only to get him attention. I remember saying e get the time wey I been don remind am something like this before for that thread and he later come run am. I no get any interest, I know say he no forget but e fit better say he just dey busy and dey battle with things wey dey take him time.

Hmmm for real consistency deserve appreciation because maintaining regular updates requires commitment, time and effort and having a backup person is also a wise decision as it ensures things continue smoothly even when unexpected circumstances arise, so at the end of the day teamwork and proper communication are what keeps things running effectively.

And while we appreciate the effort and consistency he has shown over time we should understand that no responsibility should depend entirely on one person, life happens and also unexpected situations can arise at any moment.

I no too remember this matter again self as him stopped to dey update us for here, one thing I also noticed is that we go dey try to dey see our capabilities by allowing other people to handle the matter we feels too much business with our activities both forum and offline as I know we don dey approach festive season.

Wetting op talk na true sha,  but the thing be say na Amphenomenon naim still get the final say for this matter, e fit be say the activities wey dey choke am na just for some time and after that him fit come back fully. Na him be the masterminder of that thread, and if him no longer dey interested then make him PM Ige make him position another person. It's only been a gap of two months, not that much time has passed. He is still regularly active on the forum, maybe he just hasn't had time to make the overview since it takes quite a bit of time to prepare one.

I would suggest asking him first whether he actually plans to stop making the overview. Who knows maybe he just can't find the time because of his schedule.

I miss those days when our localbord monthly members overview use to be our score card for the month, when you use to evaluate each member post quality and issuing best to 5th localbord poster and CryptopreneurBrainboss use to reward them with some merits.

That time we witnessed a lot of improvement in the localbord most especially within the newbie ranks to members ranks.

Hope we get the something back on again, at least now that our localbord is better structure, since such flexible competition encourages more cryptocurrency-related discussions in the localbord.

To be honest, I no know you personally, but with this observation, e show say your dedication to the monthly overview dey high as e dey help you improve your activity one way or the other. For me sef, no dey even pay much attention to the local board, so I no actually observe am; if no be say you create this awareness thread sef, I no know (likewise many others).

Back to the discussion, your suggestion is really good, because if mod and Amphenomenom align well, the Monthly Overview results go dey available for many people to use and follow up.

This is basically a good prove to us that managing some type of threads no dey always dey easy, e fit interest person well well to start something, and after he or she don start am, it will take an unusual kind of passion to remain committed to that thing without losing interest at some point.

Amphenomenon don try well well to be honest, because those kind of threads wey dey require monthly update no dey easy to manage, especially when updating the thread go require the person to go through various sources, pulling out vital information with which will be used to update the thread, so my brother, I give you your flowers.
I support we shouldn't allow the thread to die like that, so I believe assigning someone else to always update the thread in the absence of Amphenomenon will be the best thing to do.

You have to wait for Amphenomenon to give you the report first before opening the floor for pm, that would be more appropriate and more respectful for the Amphenomenon.
