Hello, I've been working on an idea for an independent peer-to-peer digital currency called VAYLIUM (VLM). The idea is to create a network where people can send and receive money directly, without relying on a central authority. Bitcoin showed that such a system is possible. I find this approach interesting and want to explore it further, using the Bitcoin Core codebase as a starting point. VAYLIUM will use RandomX for proof of work. I chose this approach because I want mining to remain accessible to ordinary computer hardware rather than being dominated entirely by specialized mining equipment. Some initial parameters: Maximum supply: 10,000,000,000 VLM Block time: 150 seconds Proof of work: RandomX Difficulty adjustment: ASERT 8 decimal places There will be no premine, presale or coins reserved for the founder. Coins will be distributed through mining according to the emission rules defined by the protocol. The software is still under development, so there is no public network to download or mine on yet. I'm posting this here to introduce the idea and discuss the technical approach with people who are interested in peer-to-peer systems and proof-of-work currencies. I'd be interested to hear your thoughts, especially about the choice of RandomX and the overall design.
