The grue lurks in the darkest places of the earth. Its favorite diet is adventurers, but its insatiable appetite is tempered by its fear of light. No grue has ever been seen by the light of day, and few have survived its fearsome jaws to tell the tale.

Water is ok. I mainly drink it because it's good for you. I am a big diet coke drinker.

Coconut water is good, just have to be fresh.

Yes.... the taste turns bad after about 60 minutes exposed to the air. Should be taken fresh. Coconut water, which comes in packets also tastes bad. They add all sort of preservatives, giving it a weird taste in the end.

Will it taste ok straight out of the cocunut from the supermarket, or do you literally need it fresh off the tree? Coconut milk is meant to be a lot nicer.

Yes. It will be OK. As long as the tender coconut water stays inside the coconut, without exposure to the air, it will taste great. Once it is exposed to the air, in about 60 minutes the taste will turn bad.

Maybe time to start drinking something else? Aspartame is not really good for you...

My favorite drink is probably ice tea, not the powdered crap either. I also drink a lot of water.  Try to stay away from any soda, far too much sugar in it

Also, you can't beat a margarita on a hot day.

Water and tea. But if I had a good, cold glass of water... I'd take it. But also a nice, warm cup of tea.

Second would be sparkling cider, and sparkling water (Pellegrino).

Some people have suggested me to replace sugar with Aspartame. But I refused, saying that at least sugar is a natural substance, while Aspartame is a chemical. Sugar, if consumed in normal quantities is not harmful.

sugar is in everything, a lots of it. "normal" to americans is a shitload of sugar.

you can use stevia to replace aspartame. it's natural and comes plant-based.

Whats normal though?  There is sugar in everything.  Good choice on staying away from aspartame, but I'd try staying away from sugar as much as possible.  Even by trying to stay away from it, I'm convinced we all still consume far too much of it.

yep, feel the same. i limit myself to one sweet drink per day, but then there's sugar in so much stuff.

consume one 12 oz. can of soda, and you're already over your recommended daily intake http://www.cbsnews.com/news/world-health-organization-lowers-sugar-intake-recommendations/

2 cans of soda and a candy bar and you're already at least 3 times over the recommended daily limit.

Stevia is not available everywhere and even in places where it is available, it is not affordable. The sugar lobby as well as the Aspartame lobby has declared an all out war against Stevia.  Grin
