It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

Look, I agree with you. I said once or twice already that next time I'll use progressive IPO.

But for this one I'll do the next best thing: pretending to be a lunatic until it's closed Smiley
...

Oh, you gotta be kidding me!!! 3 BTC? Really?!

I should have been a scammer... Is it too late to switch careers?

Told you. You could have spared me all this time and discussion.

As funny as it sounds, that's not good enough. Why wait for the next IPO, this is the great thing with technology startups, they don't need to die in order to learn. They make a mistake but survive if they are fast enough to correct it. Do something now and stop acting like a lunatic, cause it's costing all the investors a lot of simcoins.

Experiment -> measure -> pivot/persevere -> repeat.

Take responsibility and make things right, you can still do it. Wink

ok, party time. I wonder how many of other IPO investors are not allowed to write anything here. You have few hours to write it here before he wakes up Smiley

I'am afraid too many. I don't believe in these IPO anymore. Fair distribution with 60 percent reserved for single developer?   Wink

Its a mathematical certainty you will make money if you invest in every IPO that comes around, some don't offer escrow, some almost always do to appear pseudo legitimate while still taking the bulk of their investments directly to a wallet they own. but the maths doesn't lie

If you had invested 1 btc into every single IPO that has been advertised on this website. You would be up over 200-300 btc, now the majority of IPO's are scams and you will loose your money, but considering a large % offer escrow, so your funds are at least returned if it is a scam lowering the actual chances of loosing your original money and take into fact the return rates of a lot of the real ones are huge. statistics don't lie

You will get emotional dumb fucks claims "all IPO's are scams" "never invest in IPO's"

considering the facts i just mentioned before proves that it is just that overly emotional bullshit, because mathematically , if you had invested 1 btc in every single IPO on this website since it's inception you would be up $100,000-$150,000

This is also the exact reason for people investing into IPO's and so easily being scammed, you only need 1 IPO out of over 20 and you are thousands of dollars in profit including the loses from the other IPO's

Qora has just recently been released, putting 1 btc into that IPO would of returned 88 btc if sold at 100 satoshi, now this coin is relatively brand new and the price has reach over 100 sat once or twice already, and it supposedly going to go higher.

Latest NXT fiasco, just wow.

People are sending private messages to each other, thinking they are encrypted, and they are not.

This is what happens when you don't think things through and just trow them in the pile.

I am sure it will be fixed in the next version of clients, but for christ sake...

And that's why all messages in Simcoin will be encrypted from the start, by default, always.

Such a blunder...

Absolutely delicious.
Interesting though, that the NXT price did not cave with these news.

Grin

Well, there is a bit of blame on those people too, of course. One should be more paranoid and double check things like that. But part of the blame goes to system designers.

For Simcoin, one of my earlier designs allowed a sniffer to identify sender's account used for packet encryption.

Well, I thought, I'll be lazy and let users create a separate account just for communication. Problem solved! Less work for me.

But then I thought: come on! How many people will bother to actually do it? They will assume the system is secure by default and use their primary account.

So I went back to the drawing board and redesigned it. Now packets look like random noise and should not reveal any information at all.

We can't rely on our users to be cryptoexperts unfortunately.

Nice coin, I invested 2.5 today. I can invest more if you want it but didn't want to skew the distribution too much, as an even and wide distribution is needed to avoid complaints made against NXT for example. I like this coin and will help promote it after you launch. Hope you can find a better name though Smiley

Oh, I wish everyone would be so conscious! Thanks.

There will be more opportunities, if you stick around Wink So no need to invest too much.

Hope you can find a better name though Smiley

Suggest. We tried.
