Not enough.

I'm hoping that one day companies will issue bonds denominated in bitcoins with the interest paid in btc.  When I can buy enough of these bonds so that the interest alone supports my lifestyle......then I'll have enough.

THIS !!! .. my thoughts exactly..  once I can live off my bitcoin stash, without having to touch the principle.. I will have exactly as many as I want/need.

I posted this same link above, but it's worth repeating:

Check out https://btct.co/security - that time is now.

ASICMINER had a crazy dividend payout last week of ~0.03 BTC per share.  They are trading around 2.05 BTC/share right now.

Just got done looking over the site...  copied directly from their FAQ:
Quote
No assets on the site are to be considered real.
The use of this site is for educational and entertainment purposes only.
If an asset issuer on this site defaults, you have ZERO RECOURSE. (not like you have any recourse in most international BTC situations anyway.)

While I aplaud the transparency, this does not exactly inspire a warm/fuzzy feeling.

I am fairly well convinced that they are legit, and have every intention of continueing operation..   Even so, they are basically saying "we aren't currently following any regulations and we don't intend to in the future.. see we found this nifty loophole, so NANANANANA"

Sorry, but the moment they come on the radar of the wrong agency, they are sooo toast.  Don't think that just cuz they are in Belize, the belize authorities won't cooperate with uncle sugar up north.

Seems like everyone wants the security of regulation but none of the cost.

In the case that I'll be entrusting my BTC to someone else, I fully expect I will have legal recourse should they decide to scidadle with them.  I also fully accept there will be a cost for such a safety net.

Heck, I'd be on my way to my goal of "living off the interest" if I just sent all my coins here:  http://coinlenders.com/interest .  According to the FAQ, they're even "insured"..  Um.. yeah an "insured" 20% rate of return.. RIGHT !!! Do I get a pony also?  Once again, I'm fairly sure good intentions are there..  Still... no recurse means the BTC stay in encrypted cold storage.

It is great to be an earlier adopter. But we deserve the wealth since we had sense that when it was at at nothing it would be something. I remember saying if my bitcoins ever went to over $10,000 I would cash out and this was when bitcoins was at $5. I don't want to say exactly how much I have but I passed $10,000 a long time ago LOL

I'd like to assure everyone that I am not the Winklevii. I did have the pleasure of meeting them recently at the conference though. I'm just another not-that-rich guy that invested in Bitcoin at the right time and have somewhat become a broker among some personal and professional contacts who have expressed interest in the coin. Less so now than before the $266 run-up, although there is still some interest. For those who don't follow the speculation forum, I have become somewhat famous for posting vague hints prior to making large market purchases on behalf of clients.

Bitcoin multimillionaire, broker, and asset manager.
