That's Overstock giving a discount, not PayPal.

Overstock is a liquidator. They buy unwanted merchandise at a big discount and try to unload it. They're always offering "discounts" and "deals".

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

Is it though? I suppose I'd have to see in what context PayPal is mentioned in the email. In the OP it indeed looks cursory, like they might be mentioned there by accident.
