"In a nutshell, the network works like a distributed timestamp server, stamping the first transaction to spend a coin. It takes advantage of the nature of information being easy to spread but hard to stifle." -- Satoshi

Atlas is not interested in making money, he's just interested in being in debt and paying people back immediately after to increase his sense of self-achievement.

Another facet of Atlas that I didn't know about.

Another facet of Atlas that I didn't know about.

It was a joke based on how many opportunities he had to make money but blew (including his "Woolong Device" which he refused to use in any sort of non-p2p fashion because he said, and I paraphrase "That is evil. Mastercard and Visa are the garbage of the earth. No fees!"), his numerous comments on how he was not interested in making money, in then followed by an obvious contrast of constantly asking for loans on the forums mixed with constantly looking for 'investors'.

Ha-ha. From the bottom of my heart. Ha.. Hah.

I'm sure he's posting somewhere else now if you really miss his unique world view.

All I can say is that this is Bitcoin. I don't believe it until I see six confirmations.
