Even I've been persuaded to get on the NAS bandwagon......I feel I should resist and moan a bit about NXT clones, but I can't stay away from freebies.
Good luck to NAS, anyhow, theres plenty of room in crypto world for all of us.

Hi guys,
Thanks for the Free NAS.
I had installed NAS locally and then transferred the coins to the web wallet.
I see this warning there:
Warning!: Your account does not have a public key! This means it's not as protected as other accounts. You must make an outgoing transaction to fix this issue. (send a message, buy an alias, send Nas, ...)
I attempted doing all 3 options listed but I get an error about server side bytes.
Any ideas?
Btw, what does "forging" means?

With Nas, coins can be earned through transaction fees. After receiving Nas, and waiting for 1440 confirmations, your Nas client will begin to contribute to the block generation process and can earn coins for you as long as your account is "unlocked". The amount of coin you can earn is dependent upon the number of coins you hold, the total number of coins "active" on the network, and the transaction fees included in blocks on the blockchain. |

I would stick to the local client! Just buy an alias with the new client. Localhost:7876 This will work! |

This coin is no simple clone. We have implemented the wesleyh client before NXT did it, and there were several changes in the source. Also the dev will release a windows .exe client with chat and decentralised dice game!
Can you summarise the changes in the source? I can see: - A new genesis block - Some features that were launched whilst Nxt was live, and so were enabled at some certain block number in Nxt, are enabled from the first NAS block (no need to wait for block 22000 for aliases, for instance); also start TF early to get around Nxt injected flaw - Amounts are stored as longs instead of ints (required, as NAS has more coins than an int allows) * - Changes to TCP port numbers - Change all references to "NXT" to be "NAS" - A nice message thanking the Nxt community for their efforts - If no well known peers are configured, default to hardcoded nascoin.no-ip.biz rather than pick up random addresses from (presumably there's no nxtcrypto.org / nxtbase.com / mynxt.info available to pick them up from) All of those (except the nice message) are basically the minimum required to be a clone? EDIT: I don't think there's anything wrong with it being a clone. A clone is fine. |

Lets wait for the new client with new features then But atleast the clone was done right, not like other crapcoins that died within days! I think this dev is very powerful programmer! Technically, and bizarre distribution aside, yes it seems to have been done right. I don't know if BCNxt / CfB left any more traps in the Nxt code waiting to be triggered by a clone. Has CfB commented on this? The day will soon come when Nxt clones can be bought online for 5000 DOGE each. Or with the Nxt AE exchange they'll be redundant, so maybe not... |
