The network tries to produce one block per 10 minutes. It does this by automatically adjusting how difficult it is to produce blocks.

It has been 3 days since the Airdrop and not one user came back claiming that they didn't receive their Airdrop. Three users, out of 5, where I accidentally sent 3 times the Airdrop amount, have returned them. I was amazed. The other two, that didn't refund, I just found out that they had multiple users accounts on Bitcointalk, so I don't expect them to return the coins in the first place. Therefore, I sent the balance of the Airdrop coins to Poloniex for them to organize a giant 1 million +++ BCC/TALK Giveaway. http://explorer.cryptoblox.com/block/470a0bc39344adf81a48672a56e8c1208c30bdc8cbf01a96dd738c5f38890198Stay tuned to twitter feed @Poloniex to find out when they will start the Giveaway! To claim your Giveaway at Poloniex, make sure that your have an account open with them (or two, or three, or whatever number of accounts you can handle... ) - only one claim per account... yeah, right, sure, whatever,... Done my job. This is my last posting. Have fun with what is left of BCC/TALK. The past few weeks have been a great experience, witnessing raw human behaviors, specially when money is involved (or hope of money...). This thread will all be part of my upcoming published study - but don't worry, you guys are not using your real names - right? No need to delete what you said, it is already part of the human history archives, at https://bitcointa.lk - and fully indexed by Google.com. is there any airdrop available?
yeah, I am also waiting for airdrop. Am i came too late? Airdrop is over, the rest of the balance was sent to Poloniex for their giveway. So the only way to get the coins now is through the giveaway or to buy them on a exchange. ok. So how many coins I will get if I have a Poloniex account? 1000?

You see, the max supply coded is 63 561 840 coins (ref: main.h). So far, the network has produced 62 683 254 coins (getinfo). Leaving only 878586 coins to mint. When the max supply will be reached, in about a month --> no more rewards from minting = miners leaving = no (or very slow) network = no transactions possible = dead coin. Unless, the miners wants to mint for nothing, which is possible. Should be interesting... ppl staking worldwide should provide enough hashpower for the network, i believe

So to keep the network running even once the stake os paying 0 people will have to leave the wallets open staking for nothing. The coin has been widely distributed though so is possible enough users will do this and keep the coin alive.

Seems to me like TALK has been handed over to the bitcointalk community, it is now down to all the people that received coins to decide the future of the coin. They have 2 options really either dump the coins at the low price we have now, or they develop and create what they like for the coin giving it some kind of future. The coins are all out now, so only the holders control where the future will go.

I'm using v1.50 without a conf file and it's syncing. The last dev said it's OK to use v1.50.
