I'm not sure about that but what will happen when the difficulty just rises too high and miners will be useless? Should they just be thrown away?
They will be melted in the fires of mordor, where there will be made bycicles out of the metal.

I still have my Jalapeno's as a memoir.  It will go in my personal museum of the house I buy with bitcoins someday. Wink
