preparing my mind for an overwhelming amount of knowledge on all things crypto..  So much here to learn and I have only just begun to soak it all up and hopefully make some profit along the way.  Cool

Heyyyyy

You didn't have to tell us that!
Is the toilet period a result of the chicken, by the way?

Was just messing with intel_rst_11.7.4.1001 & RST13 for my raid1 storage I just got working few days ago on my ASRock z75 pro3.

Anything newer of intel_rst_11.7.4.1001, my old maxtor hdd will not initialize.

Here is what I sent to intel.com.

Quote
Any Rapid Storage Technology driver newer than intel_rst_11.7.4.1001, some HDD's=Hard Drives will not initialize on windows7 spitting out an incorrect funtion error.

I think this is important for you guys to fix, I'm using an old maxtor sata2 hdd works fine with driver @intel_rst_11.7.4.1001 or older,
anything newer like rst12 you cannot initialize the hdd with windows7 spitting an error incorrect function.

This will not initialize on windows7 spitting out an incorrect function error is all over the internet.

Nothing is wrong with the HDD, works with intel_rst_11.7.4.1001 or older drivers just fine just not anything newer.

Ppl with brand new hdd's are having this problem and RMA'ing their drives when it is IRST.

I'm not using the maxtor though, through raid1, not using it at all, was using it as offline cold storage jsut in case anything happens online, like failed drives. Tis why I am now using raid1 now with two 5400rpm laptop drives.

Right after I contact intel with the above, I find this news article.

http://newsroom.intel.com/community/intel_newsroom/blog/2014/04/17/chip-shot-intel-survey-finds-americans-are-stifling-creativity-on-outdated-computing-devices

So who went up first, my post or this article?

I am lmfao atm.

I am just relating my maxtor from like 04 or something of that sort to old tech of the article.
