Hey guys,

I have been mucking around with a Wallet Client and have 0 Connections to the Network (Obviously because it's new) and have the Client open on 2 Computers with .conf settings, but I cannot get them to Sync Sad

Can anyone give me a quick tip on what to do so I can see each other on the Network & get it to sync ?

Thanks in Advanced

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

I suggest you either use another client like Electrum, and if not, get the bootstrap.dat for bitcoin, which is better than downloading blocks from random nodes. You place the file and the blocks get synced really fast.

Thanks but it isn't Bitcoin I'm trying to setup, it's just something I'm Playing around with completely New.

I got 2 Active connections now on both Clients but still no Tick for in sync, I tried mining solo mining to start the Blockchain but it's still saying Pool/Credentials down Sad

What am I doing wrong, I've googled & can't work it out still.

I'm Stuffing around with a Test Coin to see how it works (a Bit of trial and error for my understanding on nodes not DNS seed Nodes)

Which section is this meant to be posted in ?

Alternate cryptocurrencies. There's a link at the bottom of the topic where you can move it.

It is pitch black. You are likely to be eaten by a grue.

Ok well I got it to work but the only problem is I can't use CGminer to mine with my GPU as it constantly says pool down/credentials invalid when I know they arn't but I can mine in the Wallet with my CPU  Huh

It's Scrypt too btw

Would it be because my Wallet Client is running as a node as well that it can't act as a server for Solo Mining ?

No. You either have your cgminer settings incorrectly configured or your coin.conf isn't set up for solo mining.

Post both the coin.conf and your cgminer settings and I'll help you out.

Then you have something wrong in cgminer (user/pass/port), or didn't launch your client as a server

I don't think it's any of those as I have Tried everything & Triple Checked Settings.

Here's my .Conf & CGminer Settings:

rpcuser=Nthused
rpcpassword=x
rpcallowip=192.168.0.6
rpcport=3785
listen=1
daemon=1
server=1

--scrypt -o http://192.168.0.6:3785 -u Nthused -p x -g 2 -w 256 -I 13 --lookup-gap 2 --thread-concurrency 8192 --gpu-engine 1055 --gpu-memclock 1500 --expiry 1 --scan-time 1 --queue 0

Try this for coin.conf

rpcuser=Nthused
rpcpassword=x
rpcconnect=127.0.0.1
rpcport=3785
listen=1
daemon=1
server=1

and for cgminer settings

--scrypt -o localhost:3785 -u Nthused -p x -g 2 -w 256 -I 13 --lookup-gap 2 --thread-concurrency 8192 --gpu-engine 1055 --gpu-memclock 1500 --expiry 1 --scan-time 1 --queue 0

Ahh found the problem, Got some info in the Debug Console and the Port is Completely Different that's why it wouldn't work, 5 Digits instead of the 4 Digits I Specified.
