forum hacked account lost

Hi, don't know why but your forgot password system doesn't work as I made few requests couple of hours ago to send me the reset link but it never arrived to my email.

I then registered this new username and used the same email and it worked. Is there anyway I can recover my old username oceans ? I hadn't had a security question on it but thats the first thing I did after registering this new one as clearly the reset link email will never arrive.

Apperentely my old account was hacked so this forum had or still has more serious problems than the one initially posted, my account was https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=68048 and my last real post was this day last year lol April 18, 2013; and soon after that another one starting to use my username posting all kind of stupid things :-) Anyone can help me trace this problem ? was there a security problem last year with this forum that my user was hacked ? my password was 20 chars long so bruteforce out of question.

is anyone going to investigate this ? sounds like a big problem if someone can hack into this forum and take someone else's username, change the recovery email and no one is doing nothing about it ? Yes I wasn't active for almost a year but still that doesn't mean you should allow some bozzo posting shit with my account... trust me its not on my end, the issue is on your end and maybe a security bug a year ago allowed him to overtake the account ?
