There was a book in the US narrated by "Uncle Remus" and it had a story about "little black sambo." You can google it if you really care for more backstory. This is what may cause some people umbrage. However, since you are clearly just using your name I don't think you should be concerned.

In 1996, noted illustrator Fred Marcellino observed that the story itself contained no racist overtones and produced a re-illustrated version, The Story of Little Babaji, which changes the characters' names but otherwise leaves the text unmodified. This version was a best-seller.
