So how much electricity does that unit use?
I'm considering whether to do the hosted option or shipped option. How much would it be fore paypal for both options?
I apologize - but I need to go to work and didn't have time to do the math - hopefully a kind soul can help me out!
At 1000 watts or 1 k-watt an hour that is 24 k watts a day or 720 k-watts a month
10 cents a kwatt = 72 dollars
15 cents a kwatt = 108 dollars
20 cents a kwatt = 144 dollars
25 cents a kwatt = 180 dollars
30 cents a kwatt = 216 dollars
shipping = 100 to 200 dollars
Cooling well for most people it is getting closer to the summer.
1000 watts of heat = 5000 btus or 1 small ac unit this would be 25 to 50 a month.
I did a few price break downs.
I come up with
at 10 cents a kwatt it pays to have it shipped to your home.
at 15 cents a kwatt it pays to have it shipped to your home.
higher then 15 cents and you are coming to the summer let him do it.
I did not figure in the psu dying. ------------He uses 220 volts. Ths psu would work better at 220 volts if you use 120 volts the psu is more likely to fail. If you want the best substitute psu it is this one

If you gave me a psu for free I would want one of these two

I did not figure time needed to babysit it. I do not think I would go on a vacation for a week with it running and no one to look at it.
I did not figure learning curve of how to use it.
My summer power is 18 cents a kwatt so I let him host.
If my power was 15 cents I would have let him host.
But at 10 cents I would have shipped it to New Jersey.
