In a past month we decided to switch off instant payouts because of double spend scam (that's why some of you wait a lot for money coming back — hot wallet was clean because of scam). Now everything works perfectly smooth, but you still have to wait for one confirmation on any transaction.
I've waited for more than 5 days for a response on lost/seized funds due to minimum bet. I'll be posting negative rep.

Ignoring customers requests and performing seizing of funds on something not easily seen nor specified is bad business practice.

We're sending back bets that doesn't fit our minimal requirement, but only if it's amount is higher than miner's fee.

I still have yet to receive any refund/consolation. Has anyone as of yet?

If updown doesn't pay the sig campaign I think it's safe to say it's a scam site, wouldn't you?  Came on July 1 and said HE was scammed (hot wallet emptied).  Sounds like some BS frankly in light of the fact that updown appears to be hiding now.

Why would they pay $25,000 to become gold member of foundation only to scam?  He didn't make $25,000 back from btc gambling site, did he?

He provided the reasoning that his health was at risk. This can be a valid excuse, but unfortunately there is no way to validate this.

While I don't want to jump to conclusions, I'm definitely hoping an answer will come soon. I'd hate to see his reputation be tarnished (Which it already has been) because of a legitimate health concern. However, I'd also hate to see people's money go out the window if this is in-fact a scam.

Time will tell.

Well, he came online on Jul 1 and Jul 4 and made 4 posts in total.
If he was able to do that, he should be able to send out bitcoin payments for those in his sig campaign, or at least send the bitcoin to a trusted person and ask him/her to manage the campaign.

Just my own opinion. Smiley

dont give him any more reasons to make up more excuses, he can get wifi at a hospital im sure he wasnt sick all those weeks, nor did he give any valid excuse to why he was sick in the first place, he is just buying time to scam more, no one play at this site till he pays, thats that.  im going to blog him as a scammer where i find his advertising at.,, everyone should do the same.

This site is most likely a scam, IMHO.  Please see:

As far as I'm concerned, if he would cheat us (because that's what this is), then he would try to cheat on his gambling site as well.

Service got a bunch of double spent attacks, so a lot of transactions was stuck during this time, and I was mostly away last month because of illness. Now everything works fine, except one thing — payouts are not instant anymore.

No offence but to me sounds like your running a bitcoin business being non solvent just like mtgox,  Plus I seeen many scam accusations about not paying forum advertisers.  Its very petty for you invest 25000 usd, then to let everything fall due to an illness which you never elaboratley explained to any of the members.

From what I read in the sig campaign thread, a lot of people are still waiting for their payment for last month...

Everybody got paid with a week or so delay — not so big delay to name someone a scammer. We've meet a lot of scammers on the forum, and it makes me laugh a bit when someone who sells his signature for money names us scammers after week delay.

We'd like to respond to the article by Tom Butterfield (https://medium.com/@TomOnBTC/second-biggest-member-of-bitcoin-foundation-involved-in-hacking-of-mt-gox-b97a3527b4ac).

UpDown.bt has no relation to MtGox or any of MtGox hackers / leakers. UpDown.bt has never hosted any leaked data.UpDown.bt does not own the IP address 89.248.171.30 - it is the address our hosting provider assigned us on the 25th of March, 2014. We obtained the domain name updown.bt on the 10th of April, 2014 - prior to that we used updown.ws . The SSL certificate we use is issued to the domain name updown.bt only.

So to us it seems the leaker used the same hosting provider (or re-seller), and that's all there is to the story.
To avoid future confusion, we'll be changing the IP address of our service.

We believe that clarifies everything, and we're here to answer any question you might have

Ok, where were you when everyone was wondering what was going on with the sig campagin payouts?  No explanation has been given as to why there was a delay, and it seemed like every time you popped on you just gave an excuse.

Second, has updown ever been involved in double spends, and sending double spends to "winning" bets on your site?  (see previous threads where someone's btc wallet was emptied of btc they had won from your site)

That seems like a bit of an insult to your own clients.
I have yet to receive my "seized" funds back. Can you please provide a response to this as I have waited for a rather long time.
You cannot expect people to not grow impatient with the delays that have been caused by your company.

Agree with initski.  Updown why are you minimizing the fact that you were so late?  No, now I wouldn't call you a scammer but your attitude is to screw everyone else, even in this post I'm quoting.  There's nothing unethical about selling a signature, but your actions were unethical where you were indefinitely holding us all hostage with no idea whether you'd payout or not.  Even if you had come and said "sorry guys, I'm really ill, I'm gathering coins to pay, etc." it would have been ok.  Instead you promised 2 different dates on which you would pay and totally ignored those dates and didn't even pop on to say what was going on.

Lol I think I might have broken it. I have 4 winning bets all of which are processing, and there are bets above mine (winning ones too) that have already processed. I wonder when he will be able to come up with the 1.75 BTC Smiley

EDIT: Oh what do you know, he just did it! I'm genuinely impressed.

You need more faith. We're not a scammers, we're making business. And finally everybody (who had enough faith and hope) got paid.
