I have a question.

What about all those Karma Coins, which people lost on Mintpal?

That is a problem caused by Mintpal.

I think the new team behind Karma can not (and in my opinion should not) do much about it.

Since KARM was traded mostly on Mintpal, many people lost there their KARM. This is big problem for KARM, since it lost lot of supporters. At least 10% of all Karm, maybe even more was on Mintpal. Nobody will touch KARM until it is clear what happened to that KARM. Best for KARM is to return Mintpal KARM as soon as possible to real owners. Nobody here likes this situation, but it is the first step. Without that any other steps will be much less effective.

There is some truth to what Socoban posted. Ever since Moolah screwed up the transition from Mintpal v1 to Mintpal v2 and closed shop. Tons of Karma coin were lost in between servers and no one could withdraw their coins back. Having lost their coins , it makes all the sense to assume that these people see no point of sticking around and continue to stay active. Whether it was by posting here , or on social medias.

It is a blow as we are trying to pick up the paste and find our mojo again. I personally wished that those who lost their coins would still stick around and help out. Especially now that we see most of other coins as dying to scams and shady behavior.

A great thing about Karma is that as it falls there are people lined up to help it stabilize again, both in markets and services. There are a tons of "lurkers" who believe in Karma. While this is a great feature, simply having strong Karma believers has only proven to make Karma harder to be left to die in the markets. What we need now is the Karma devoters. We have always needed this actually. We(old team) were waiting for people to understand this themselves and join to help out. We all saw that that was not the case.

We invited you all many times to get involved. To join chat sessions. To devote your hidden talents and skills. This will have to be a community effort or else. If you want a democratic Karma-network then you all need to get involved. no exceptions. Otherwise you will have to sit there and watch selected groups stir Karma any direction that they want.

Here we are once again invited to help Karma. Except the Swiss building and implement Karma on their business they are also working with us to spring up Karma site , explorer and forum. Tons of help is needed from people in Karma community.  We need as much people as possible devoting their time and resources to keep Karma's main site up. Helping set up a new forum where it would be much easier to archive topics and communications. helping in new projects and up keeping old ones. It is of very importance that we unite and come through and help out those that want to help us back.

Thoughts?

*edited.

please get involved with us. Things can move much faster if more and more people get involved

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

if you check you peer nodes you both most likely are connecting to bad nodes. You are actually synched but your wallet is finding some bad nodes and its constantly connecting and disconnecting to them. hence from the lag it shows synching 0 hrs behind.

you should delete your peer.dat file ( well back up it first just in case, and if the bellow steps work then delete the back up.)
and you can manually add these good nodes provided by scryptminer bellow be either  :

1. Adding them in the console as: addnode <nodeaddress> add
2. You can edit them in the karma.conf in your roaming/karma folder. a tutorial is fund in the OP (first post of this thread)  at the bottom section. makes sure you use these new nodes instead of the old one.

i downloaded the wallet to another PC win7-64bit the wallet is doing the same thing and am using this nodes

Code:
addnode=23.254.97.16:9432
addnode=altcoin.dk:9432
addnode=altcoin.dk:9436

the wallet has alot of connections tho cant mine solo like this Sad

Hi,

I see several of your active nodes are using a wrong Wallet Version. Here are a set of working nodes you can add and they will work just fine.

Code:
"addr" : "54.234.181.73:9432",
"addr" : "204.246.67.106:9432",
"addr" : "188.165.2.147:9432",
"addr" : "23.254.97.16:9432",
"addr" : "188.226.177.232:9432",
"addr" : "68.5.34.219:9432",
"addr" : "92.222.38.197:9432",
"addr" : "209.188.18.188:9432",

Best wishes for 2015

Sleeping the elephant Cheesy
Yes, for at least next 6-7 months. All of the crypto shall sleep for that long. Bitcoin capitulation at 50-60$ and litecoin at 50-60C. Trading in next 8-10 months will be really stupid move. Well, of course, if somebody is capable to predict and trade, go ahead, wish you luck. But it is good that all of the scrappy $hitcoins will die and I am sure new giant will rise.

REMINDER:
Effective 2/1/2015 karmagames.info will be shutdown. Many users have not withdrawn their coins yet. Any remaining user balances after 2/1/2015 will be donated. Most likely coins will be sent to help those who lost coins due to Mintpal. It won't be much but it's the right thing to do. If you have coins on the site and don't want them to be donated you have 13 days from the time of this post to withdraw!!!!

A tiny glimmer of hope from the moolah twitter account.

This means at the very least that Mintpal and Moolah are cooperating and that Mintpal has started refunding some coins, just not Karma coins..

Mintpal limited or more importantly Ferdous @ Tahiti limited are not really cooperating with Moolah. Moolah is just saying that to save face.

If you recall when mintpalv2 withdrawal page came online you could see that there were a few wallets that Moolah was "having" problems with. One of those coins was Karma coins. Later on we come to find out via Ferdous that the reason those coins were an issue with Moolah is that they didn't transfer them from the old servers into their new mintpal v2. servers

After it came out how Moolah was a scammer (or allegedly considered one) Ferdous or MinatpalV1 team quickly locked him out of older mintpalV1 servers. In there they found few of the old wallets. karma coins old mintpalv1 wallet being one of them. Ever since that discovery Ferdous has been working with me back and fourth to help us retrieve that wallet. Not only he is doing that but he also is providing me with the old mintpal v1 database.

What does this all mean?

1.Old mintpalV11 coins are being retrieved to new wallet. (Almost all the V1 coin are already in possession  Grin )
2.Old mintpalV1 data base is being looked at by me to determine how to approach the next step.
Soon (very soon), we will notify all the users in mintpal v1 database and we will link them to a forum discussion thread. This forum is yet to be lunched. everything is being prepared and should be more clearer soon

The team working on this is Me , scrypt miner and the rest of the telegram chat group.

I am sorry for the silence from us and the swiss but we wanted to make sure we moved most of the coins out of old wallet before we could say that this progress is coming to an end. We didn't want to attract unnecessary attention. More importanlty moolah attention and have them move coins out in case they did have a copy of old wallet.

Rest a sure that we will continue to do everything in our power to make sure everyone gets their coin back ( from mintpal v1 data , anyone who bought/deposited during mintpalv2 will probably not recieve anything and they have to take this with Moolah)

Also big thanks need to be made to Ferdous @ferdousbhai.

stay tune for additional news.

Hello

I have an additional problem. Before the Mintpal V2 create the page for users request transfers of balances, I tried to withdraw my KARMA twice while Mintpal V2 site was still active.

I had 60 million coins and I tried to withdraw the first time, but the process failed and when I went to check my balance, it was only 0.00000038 KARMA.

So, I wrote to the support on 10/08/2014 and received reply 4 days later. On the same day my balance was corrected.

Look answer:

"Hi there,
I apologize for the delayed reply.
Your issue has been passed to the migration team for investigation, and will be dealt with as a matter of urgency. Thank you for your patience! If you have any questions or concerns in the mean time, please feel free to respond to this ticket. At this point we do not have an ETA, but our developers are working around the clock to find a solution.
"

I tried to withdraw again and happened the same error. After that I did not get more contact.

When the page to request transfers was launched, I requested the transfer of all the coins, less KARMA, because the balance was wrong.

Do you have any idea about my case? My coins are on the server of Mintpal or Moolah?

our Karmateam are working on a solution to get the coins back from the V1 wallets.
you will just have to be patient like everyone else.

you aren't likely to get any response from Moolah (mintpal V2) and you certainly won't get one from them in this thread because, to my knowledge, they have never posted here.
