Hi guys.

As you know, Karmacoin community took an active part in our voting and KARM is in the top 20 on Hitbtc exchange.
As you may have found out already, we are helping different coins to create their mascots, like we did for NXT or Monero. We have a lot of imaginative and creative people in our team and we'd love to create a character for your coin too. But when deciding on who or what to draw we couldn't make up our minds. Instead, we chose to turn to you for help: please, give us an idea, and we will happily create your hero with you!

Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

Thank you for your kind consideration of this matter, if you would like to be certain what mascot would be most fitting for karma, you just have to look closer to our logo, it is composed of a stylized yin-yang using 2 elephant heads silhouttes in 2 colors.

elephants'd be great! Cheesy If there is no objection.

Hi! We are the Hitbtc team. Hitbtc is the most advanced exchange. Now everyone can vote for their favorite currency to be added to Hitbtc. You can start voting here: https://hitbtc.com/vote

Among the latest currencies taking part in our vote is Karmacoin. So we invite all of you to take part in voting to add KARM to Hitbtc.
Votes from registered users will be multiplied x10!

If this isn't an invitation I don't know what is. This hasn't only been posted here so lets get cracking.

I encourage everyone to sign up to the site, vote and then vote every day. Approximately every 24 hours I'll post an update here on our progress and remind people to vote.

We don't need the most votes, we just need to show our potential. It is possible with two market makers (https://hitbtc.com/mm), perhaps coupled with a decent number of votes, Karma will be listed on hitbtc. Even if we aren't listed in the next 3 months, your votes over the next 3 months will help us get there in 3 months instead of 4, 5 or 6 months.

Rank 20: 365Coin 377 (24 hr gain +2) (last 7 days gain +TBA) (gain since day 0 +TBA))

Sign up to (https://hitbtc.com/vote) then vote. It just just an email address, password and confirmation link in your email. Make sure you sign in so your vote is worth 10 times as much.

To get 1000 points it only takes 100 people voting for 10 points. To get 2000 points it only takes those same 100 people voting an additional 10 times while signed out. Lets get started.

Day 1 results summary:
Karma moved up 8 places from rank 27 to rank 19 in just one day
Karma had the fourth highest votes in 24 hours
At least 7 people didn't sign in to vote! Oops we would be in front of Execoin if you remembered to sign in.

Day 2 results summary:
Karma moved back down 3 places to rank 21 due to the entrance of several new coins
Please ignore the TBA for now, I'll make a formula so it is more automated, I will fill the above in after that is complete, which may be when I post the next one.

Day 3 results summary:
Karma moved up 2 places to rank 19 today.
Sorry guys I dropped the ball on posting this so comparatively everyone else got more votes "today" than they should of compared to us, which is why I have only posted Karma's gain today.

Day 4 results summary:
A lot of movement today for all the other crpytocurrencies but Karma held its position and is catching up to a lot of currencies that get very few votes every day.

It would appear as if you can only vote once while logged in. You can vote as a guest as many times as you want every 24 hours.

Keep it up, please vote again as a new user or a guest today.

Chargin.

I've done my vote and that was logged in so counts for 10 so that either means 24 people are voting not logged in or 2 more people are logged in and 4 ain't, either way on the dev team alone this should be 8 or so people voting logged in per day

Dear community,

please vote if we should persue this small charity fundraising effort: http://karmashares.com/forums/index.php/topic,437.0.html
It is for an organisation fighting against sex slavery of children in the US. The idea came from the community and I propose that we raise 100$ in Karma as a Symbol for what will come from Karma in the future.

please vote

your KarmaKaguy

voting closes tomorrow

What exactly is a vector graphic?

a very fine grained graphic based on mathematical expressions. Better than pixel based http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vector_graphics

The designer of our cold storage metal plates needs it: bitkee

Makes sense.

Vector graphics do not look "blurry" (i.e. bad quality, big blocks) when zoomed.

judging by that sell order of exactly 4.5000000 BTC order we must be dealing with a bot controlled by some one who could have either :

1. Sold to manipulate the market to cause panic and more dumping so they could buy back cheaper

2. A multipool selling their last accumulated coins from the previous halving. Couldn't wait for the hard fork i guess

3. Bag holder in the #1 category who might have exited to join an other coin

I dunno , that sells order were fishy. the two sells were close to 3.75 btcs and one of them was a perfect rounded number. i mean who does that. only bots. SELL   0.00000004   112500000.22466000   4.50000000
So we must be dealing with a trader that has a mintpal trading bot and probably falls in the three categories as mentioned above.

All i see is that with :
#1 attempt was a fail. no one followed suit. so they probably will have to buy back at same price.
#2 I guess that was the longest they waited for before cashing out.
#3 same answer as #2 i guess

What matter is that no one is even thinking about selling at this prices. Which is great to see. Also an other good thing is that the sells seem to be from one wallet and now they were sold to buys from different wallets. Which is also great as there is an other person hording less coins.

There is all kinds of things that effect a market. A coin could be doing all the right things and its not enough at that time. This is why i don't even bother to day trade Karma for fun. This coin behaves irrational. one day is stable next day is x10 higher  Wink
it was weird to see those sells thought. Especially since we are so close to moving Karma into an other algo and also buffing up the blockchain security. We got a very reputable dev from the crypto community working on our code every single day.

We got some good projects ahead of us and we sit there daily brainstorming how to improve our coin with concrete ideas and real deadlines.
We were lucky to escape the Litcoin pairing only but we are still married to this pairing. An other thing is the bad timing with bitcoin too. Just like months ago , when we were spiking bitcoin crushed. this time bitcoin is getting some spotlight and people are saving their coins.

All i know is that the team is working constantly to reaching our goals.

I was there at the end of the first age of Karmacoin. I saw buywalls the size of small towns crumble and then the earth opened up and swallowed Karmacoin. People told stories about how it had fallen into the purgatory of the *~+ Litecoin markets +~* and would never return. Well lets say those stories turned out to be just that - stories. Reborn as Karma, this is the dawn of the third age. Lets make this the one that counts and will be remembered.

There is no explanation for such events, dumper's gonna dump. Market psychology. What goes up must come down. Probably someone afraid to miss profit if he waits longer. Hopefully the new owners will have more respect for the coins they purchased. In a few months they'll be sorry. Now lets get back growing this coin... Smiley

I don't mind if Karma drops to 1 Satoshi as long as it is changing hands. If it drops to 1 Satoshi, there is plenty of room for recovery.  Wink

Day 5 results summary:
Karma has moved up 2 places again today to rank 17.
Monero is now available on bitbtc with just 1135 votes. This has to be a market maker addition. I strongly encourage active traders to review this https://hitbtc.com/mm and contact the hitbtc team. Obviously it would be impossible to keep Karma within such a tight range, however larger spreads may be negotiable.

It would appear as if you can only vote once while logged in. You can vote as a guest as many times as you want every 24 hours.

Keep it up, please vote again as a new user or a guest today.

Chargin.

Welcome aboard Parkkar and thanks for your well thought out post. Beck? You bet. If you have any connections there, sure a lot of us would be interested hearing about it and what is on your mind.

Some ideas to increase brand awareness:

- Find Youtubers that you like and enjoy their videos/feel they provide a good vibe/message then find them on twitter and follow them. Then send them a few karma as a thank you for what they do via the tipbot. Since they typically have many followers, this could be a good entry point into spreading brand awareness.

- Find new-media outlets/people who have close ties to charities. For example, Glenn Beck works with MercuryOne.org which is a great charity. Regardless of politics, the work that that charity does is fantastic. He also has been talking to his audience about Bitcoin lately on his radio program/web site and he has about a combined 10 million radio listeners/internet tv viewers http://vimeo.com/95295818. I think we should consider reaching out as a community to these types of people/organizations because not only can we do something good but people like Beck have a direct line to large audiences of people thereby increasing exposure. It would be a win/win. I think for things like this we just need to contact them, explain what Karma is and let them know ahead of time of any pushes we plan for their charities. We can then request a brief mention on the radio/website after a successful charity push. I'd be more then happy to try to work with TheBlaze/MercuryOne on this - but I feel timing is important. We should do these types of campaigns when there is a consensus that we are "ready" and Karma is at a good place to do so (from a functionality standpoint, not price). I mean, if Doge can send the Jamaican bobsled team to the Olympics and get their logo on a Nascar, surely we can do some good charity work and get Karma out there!

I'm new to the Karma community but glad to be here. Just wanted to share my thoughts and get a feel from the gang and the devs if this is something we all would be interested in.

Regards!

Thanks for the welcome! No, I don't have any connections over at MecuryOne Studios... I'm just a fan of Becks and subscriber to The Blaze internet TV/radio. I figured since I'm passionate about both the blaze and karma that I wouldn't mind investing some time into trying to inform them of karma and any charity pushes we may propose doing for them. I'm an independent technology/business strategy consultant so I have a lot of experience in putting effective and polished proposals together. But with that said, if the plan is to have an official PR firm then we can let them handle communications - I'm just thinking if we wanted to move on something like this before we have such a firm on board.

So does everyone have their X11 rigs ready to go? Just curious of what people will be running and what their expected X11 hashrate will be? Looking to get squared away before the fork :-)
