Doing good is good!

The saving innocence fundraiser has raised now 83% of its goal. We are slowly approaching the goal. Maybe now everybody can see why I did not opted for a 25 mio fundraiser... Here,  also small donations have a visable impact contributing to the goal. Small donations are welcome. Thanks for the last 2700 Karma, whoever that was! And be nice to each other out there.

100% agree with the sentiments expressed by these 2 members. Also, I'm a bit bummed (like the other poster) to see Karma move completely away from Scrypt and matriculated fully to x11. In a parallel universe I would have liked to see the option to mine this great coin on a given pool using either algorithm options as a choice that each miner could make for themselves. That said, appreciate the proactive, assertive moves that Karma has always been a part of!

Good Karma to all.

Furthermore, my other suggestion is to work on the look of the wallet! A very important point which unquestionably will raise the price and will attract many investors. There is a story that sells the product type! Beautiful book with lots of features - it will sell! See, for example wallets DARK and now make this SYNC!

I agree.
A nice distinct professionally looking wallet increases the thrust people put on the guys developing the coin network.

Also, not only looks, but also distinct new features attract a lot of people.

What do you think about this idea:

we could have an option in the wallet where you could set a certain percentage of all transactions which goes directly to one of the Karmafund.me causes or to a development fund for lill.com? Totally optional of course.

Doing good is good!

The saving innocence fundraiser has raised now 78% of its goal. This was achieved by 13 transactions up to now. I guess there are some more Karmaneions out there to give some good Karma for a good cause!

http://karmafund.me

i was wondering to is their even a non binding letter of intent for the sale?

When we have successfully forked to X11 (and have taken care of some other outstanding issues, as noted in its original post) then I can discuss what I know so far.

As mentioned, we have not put Lill up for sale. It's an offer made by an interested party. Our focus is on adding value as much as we can to the Karma ecosystem, and this includes my exploration of a VC that is interested in Lill. Now that I know the nature of his interest we can know how to weigh it.

My first priority is to Karma, so now I am making sure that we make the shift to our new, energy-efficient algorithm successfully so that we can continue to talk about Karma in a good way.

The nature of cryptocurrency is quite feeble and perhaps a bit schizophrenic, with over-saturation in the marketplace and lack of trust in coins (with most coins failing within 30 days). Our plan is for Karma to not only be alive in 1 year and beyond but successful. That will not happen if we are focused on day-to-day price movement.

Problems arise when we apply altcoin thinking to Karma. Karma is born of this, but is so much more. Karma is something unique, with long term vision and goals since the new team started 3 months ago.

Many of the cryptocurrency community now have short term intentions for immediate profits. I liken this to the difference between day traders in stock markets and the truly wealthy, who have built up fortunes by balancing wisdom with patience. Such irrational exuberance was promoted by the "dot-com boom" that many of us don't remember well enough. And now we have a cryptocurrency boom, with the same kind of actors and conditions in place.

We are more like Amazon and less like WebVan.

Go Karma!

Did anybody attend the Bitcoin conference in Chicago?

If so, how did it go and did we have a Karma Booth?

Karma team was looking for someone, who lives around to attend, but as far as I know, nobody volunteered.

the project was pushed away because of few reasons. One of them was funding. We decided to focus funds in improving lill.com first. secondly time : We were more focused in improving our code and strengthening our blockchain.

Bittrex is putting blackcoin up as a pairing along with btc and ltc.  Karma would be a real good match.  both solid coins and good devs.

People need more places to buy Karm.

Now, as I am reading the article, I am a little bit a shamed of myself about Karma World Cup. I forgot to tell you how great was the cause, how awesome was the website and after all, congratulate you for the big success of this campaign.

Guys, let`s make some noise about X11 switch. Do whatever you can. Write an article, Twitter, FB, forums, etc. Everything will be helpful. It will take only 5 minutes. This unique success has to be promoted by every single member of our community. We can do it.

Question about lill.com. Is it possible to register anonymously and just enter eg. a username+karma address? One of the things I like about duckduckgo is that it doesn't track my searches, and the reason I switched from using Google. I don't doubt that lill.com is just as good in search, but I really dislike that I have to do full registration to be able to use the karmacoin advantage. Registering with facebook+twitter is even worse, imho. Anyway, this is not to start a flamewar, I'm just asking if it's possible and if the creators would be interested in implementing this. If so, I'd gladly switch to it.

No worries, I was just thinking about it and hadn't heard any thing.  There are definitely more critical things going on right now than attending that.

That may be an interesting option to have.

Although we do not need to promote LILL.com an engine for anonymous browsing, we can give the users that option.
