just use irc like normal people Wink

there is no learning curve, everyone can just join a channel on freenode using a webgui or install a free irc client and use that. no gods no masters.

thanks Charley Brown.

IRC is good feature. They got hacked recently. You should change your pass ACG Thought i let you know since your all about keeping safe Smiley

The problem with IRC is that it does not store history of the chat session you missed. Unless your there 24/7 you will not be up to par. since we are dealing with people from all over the world with different timezones we need something better.

Remember how hard it was for us to chat with it?

trello is like social blackboard type of engine where posts get made and people can read then when ever they come online. There also notifications that you receive with new stuff get updated.

all it is missing is a chat like platform. We suggest people to join telegram

its a no brainier we need these two.  Cool

What are you talking about? "IRC got hacked recently"? IRC is a protocol... and you don't need a pass to join a network, only a username.

Both irssi, xchat and mIRC (irc chat clients) store session history and there is also /msg /query and highlighting. All the features you say are lacking are already in place in clients.

First of all IRC did not get "hacked". What happened is that a server on an IRC network called Freenode (there are MANY IRC networks) was misbehaving. They have not stated that the ircd (that is the linked IRC daemon running on that particular server) or the linked nickserv were compromised in any way. Further investigation revealed that more machines were misbehaving. All machines have been shut down.

Second of all while you probably mean well in the sense that you want to discredit IRC what you are really doing is displaying that you don't really know what you are talking about. You're misunderstanding and exaggerating facts. It's FUD. Just use IRC like normal people.

The Karma boards are NOT automatically visible using those links. They load a generic Welcome page.

it was a FYI. not discrediting the IRC.

i use webchat.freebnode . To me IRC is not optimal because unless i am logged in i can not read any of session chat that was done in the room during the time i was offline.

if i do not go online for 24 hrs , is there a way i can read up all the chat session that occurred while i was off?

Thanks to joymagic and allonething, and welcome to trello! We are currently organizing. This is a good step towards the right direction.

Nice job. I am impressed by your efforts and hope you continue to keep up the good work, as always Smiley

Tell me, would a current member of the Karma team like to take over any of the services? I just wonder why no one volunteered.

Per the message above, would anyone from the Karma team like to take over any of the Karma services?

no response so far but perhaps the third attempt will produce something.

yes or no is far better than radio silence.

An experienced DEV for cryptocurrency has quoted us with 1200 US$ for the creation of a complete set of API for KARMA, exposing the following similar data: https://coinbase.com/api/doc .

Should we hire him?

What would an API do for Karma?

API will enable our coin to be integrated to many APPS, websites and services that will be built by other developers. API thus opens up a wide array of possibilities for KARMA adoption.

Aside from our own initiatives.

API is very important at this point.

Hi guys.

I would love to see as many people as possible on the Telegram messenger. https://telegram.org/
here is the first random video search that reviews it   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F_6Fy1loS6I

This is a great app. its fast and uses low ram. Since it is also an APP you can take it anywhere with you and you can receive notification alert. This is the main feature why we suggest you get the app. In case of emergency we will be able to alert everyone.

Like all the new messenger apps you will need to authorize your account by giving them you phone number where they send a text message with a code to authenticate that you are using a cell numbers you actually own. This is a one time authentication method only.

Here is the only problem with this is that it registers your account with your phone number. telegram gives you ability to change your username as you please but in order for us to add you in the group chat you will need to share the number you used to register with.

Since some of us do not feel comfortable with sharing personal details then i suggest using an online service that gives you a free number. I would recommend PINGER APP(www.pinger.com ). download the app on your mobile. with in two minutes you get a brand new CELL number where you can receive text messages. Remember , you will need an app that allows you to receive text messaging. the whole purpose is to receive the authentication code from telegram so you can authorize telegram app.

So here are the whole steps.

IF you do not want to use real mobile number :
step 1. Install an app that assigns you a new number and must be able to receive text msg. i recommend PINGER app
step 2. Install Telegram Messenger. Both the mobile app and desktop version for maximum browsing! https://telegram.org/
step 3. Use this new PHONE number from Step 1 to register with telegram. as part of authentication telegram will send a text msg with code.
Step 4. After you have received the code from the app us used in Step 1. Authenticate Telegram Messenger
Step 5. PM either me , eateagle13  or ryannyen here with the phone number you registered in Telegram Messenger.
Step 6. you will be added to the chat group!!!

IF you wish to use your real mobile number :
step 1. Install Telegram Messenger. Both the mobile app and desktop version for maximum browsing! https://telegram.org/
step 2. Use you mobile number to register with telegram. as part of authentication telegram will send a text msg with code.
Step 3. After you have received the code via text msg, authenticate Telegram Messenger
Step 4. PM either me , eateagle13  or ryannyen here with the phone number you registered in Telegram Messenger.
Step 5. you will be added to the chat group!!!

Welcome to the fun chat!! You will never miss a thing.
