basically u can break down DMD v4 in 4 core elements

1st a ethereum combatible smart contract engine that can host basically any code written for ethereum on top of DMD blockchain (tokens, NFTs, smart contracts, and and and)

2nd a honeybadger consensus engine with variable blocktime (more and faster blocks if more traffic on chain) with blocktime between 1 sec and 10 min (where 10 min is only happening if there is 10 min no transaction on network as soon as a transaction appear a block production is started nearly instant) this engine will have at least 400 tx/sec and provide advanced feature not existing on ethereum like instant finality and a combined real random number generator (ideal for host games on top of DMD blockchain)

3rd a posdao validator election and dpos staking engine, this baby make sure we follow the core logic of decentral blockchains where validators are selects by following a rulesset that applies to all participants and where stakeholders impact what nodes get more likely more often selected in active state by place trust on them (stake on them)

4th a onchain governace module basically a DAO that allow DMD stakeholder to decide about what projects/activity the blockchain support with fund from the ecosystem support port thats filled with 10% of the new coins generated

Any update on the completion of this code? When will DMD v4 be available?

This all sounds very interesting.  May I ask, is anyone else trying to implement honeybadger, either on a BTC or ETH type blockchain?

Aas, [21.07.20 11:37]
[In reply to bridge]
When DMD V.4 Launch mr?.

Helmut bit.diamonds, [21.07.20 12:36]
regarding release i expect a 6-9 months timeframe i hope we start next internal testnet in a few weeks and after that one a public testnet in a few months (aim is at least 3 months pre release have a public testnet so people can learn and prepare for set up their mainnet nodes and how to interact with the posdao dpos staking dapp

Helmut bit.diamonds, [21.07.20 12:39]
we did work on a shared codebase for honeybadger+posdao with a few likemindet projects like artis and lukso and poa network. but in the last few weeks we found out that the different needs of the projects and the timeframe they aim until release will most likely split us up into seperate codebases. for now it looks like we will be the first ones launching honeybadger/posdao close followed by artis ( by lab10.coop )which is now our primary cooperation and development partner

Helmut bit.diamonds, [21.07.20 12:41]
@tzwxndy regarding listing we dont aim for listings pre dmd v4 release as it involve a major codechange pre release listings would create extra and double effort which we want to avoid

Helmut bit.diamonds, [21.07.20 12:53]
parts of the codebase (the posdao dpos staking/validator election engine) are on mainnet released already and as i did hear pretty successful. the project is called xDAI and is run by the guys who did develop poa network too.

Helmut bit.diamonds, [21.07.20 12:54]
its this project https://coinmarketcap.com/de/currencies/xdai/

Helmut bit.diamonds, [21.07.20 12:54]
but they dont use honeybadger together with posdao they still use aura consensus

DMD Diamond was born as a old school coin back in 2013 with a simple design as a scarce coin and first gemstone typed (Diamond) and hybrid POW/POS. end of 2013 it was clear thats not enough for stay longterm relevant and after community takeover early 2014 DMD v2 got released by a way more sofisticated coin economic model thats by its essence since then and even in DMDv4 is unchanged (just improved). thats also when we started call the release first time a "evolution". and evolution never stopps it was clear that v2 had shortcomming example still POW/POS and missing additional funktionalities. thats when development of v3 the next evolution started POW was removed and POS/Masternode was implemented.  it was a nice upgrade but also weakness and overestimated hopes became vissible of that codebase. masternode technology as base of a growing set of blockchain hosted services didnt develop the way we hoped and it was clear a more radical way of evolution is needed to really transform from just be a coins generate coins platform with a nice coin economic setup into a true cornerstone of blockchain future that stay revelant for decades and that is what started the actual development and evolution cycle towards DMD v4. here finally we will arrive where we wanted to be with DMD. as not only a well designed coin economic solution but additional as a blockchain infrastructure platform with leading edge technology that can power any smartcontract based project solution doesnmt matter if its simple tokens (any kind of erc based) or advanced tokens (nft and so on) or complex decentral blockchain based business logics like decentral exchanges or defi solutions

Helmut bit.diamonds, [11.08.20 12:18]
now what other coins have such a history of evolution? what coins stay active in support by a dedicate core of stakeholders when the true founder was in fact lost after a few months.............

Helmut bit.diamonds, [11.08.20 12:19]
i can only imagine bitcoin as somehow similar in history where founder disappeared and community did take over and continue envolve the baby

Helmut bit.diamonds, [11.08.20 12:25]
but in case of DMD its even more interesting because i think bitcoin at that time of release was work of a genius and the vision also is. but DMD DIamond was created by a ghost who did create and abandon many coins and didnt have any longterm vision or goals with his projects just a try and error and play around with configs to generate a new blockchain. all the vission all the meaning all the desire to give DMD Diamond purpose in future did come out of the community. i think in this way we are unique and a perfect example that something that was started without a deeper meaning and without a longterm vision can get both if the people invest blood and tears. fact is that a blockchain is nothing without a community and as long we are working together the evolution will never stop

I'm an old member still holding and staking my DMD as I believe that we will see a lot more people coming into the staking space once ETH starts staking. It will attract more people to start staking and I think people will look for other projects that have staking like DMD. I also believe people will look for long standing projects that have a good track record like DMD so we could see DMD take off in the next year or so and DMD v4 could really make DMD explode even more so I think there is a lot to look forward to with DMD for the ones that have the patience to wait.

I can promote your project on X to my 100k+ followers for a reasonable price. Just DM me for prices.

following script stop node and fix blockchain automatic including downloading the proper chain files

cd ~
diamond-cli stop
ping -c 20 1.1.1.1
rm -rf .DMDV3/chainstate/
rm -rf .DMDV3/blocks/
apt-get update
apt-get --yes install megatools unzip tar wget
#below megadl is normal but ubuntu megatools isnt updated for new mega links so until that is done the wget direct of megatools is needed
#megadl https://mega.nz/file/klwFGB4a#HqlUkQgYlHqRu6_rBonsf3Off9X6lTBMjDBg35JN3RM
wget https://megatools.megous.com/builds/experimental/megatools-1.11.0-git-20200503-linux-x86_64.tar.gz
tar -zxvf megatools-1.11.0-git-20200503-linux-x86_64.tar.gz
./megatools-1.11.0-git-20200503-linux-x86_64/megatools dl 'https://mega.nz/file/klwFGB4a#HqlUkQgYlHqRu6_rBonsf3Off9X6lTBMjDBg35JN3RM'
unzip chainstate_block_dmd_20200817.zip -d .DMDV3/
diamondd
watch -n -5 diamond-cli getinfo
cd ~

copy all lines and paste them at once into ur console
if some deependcies failing and installed at first run just do it a second time and it will work

8. Q: https://diamond-info.github.io/

that link really needs updating - there are parts that are no longer working - the first exchange has no volume to buy DMD and the pool it lists as being able to mine btc and convert to DMD is down.

it states there is no limit required to receive staking rewards, only that if you have less than 1,000 it wont be daily - is that still correct/valid?

We are all waiting for the migration to V4 which according to Cryptonit will take place in a few months.
Therefore, I do not see any point in updating any information there, especially since it is still relevant today.
The trading volume is currently minimal because the Livecoin wallet is undergoing a resynchronization process.
There are no minimum limits on the number of coins for POS stakiing.
But if you want to find about one block per day, you need to have at least 1000 DMD.

for any active project - it should be relevant to always have information that is being presented up to date - especially if the next update is planned for a few months down the road still.

for example, it says that you need $170,000 USD to run a master node which requires 10k DMD - at current price that would only be $5,000 USD - so what is the other $165,000 USD needed for?

The pool provided that details how to mine BTC and exchange for DMD is no longer operational for this purpose, I believe it meant multipool.us? maybe?

and yes volume is down - it is at zero on the one exchange and about $45 USD in the past 24 hours on the other exchange.

I would say the information needs updating, but to each their own.
