Hey guys, is there a Windows miner for stratum based pools available?

but dont forget ur pool also need to be modified to be foundation share compatible

update:

im very unhappy with that miner srcxxx released he modified that pool mining only work on his pools.....

i didnt find out earlier because i was solo mining....

___________________________

this one should work on any stratum pool with correct foundation share setup

http://sourceforge.net/projects/diamonddmd/files/sgminer_diamond_v4.1.0.zip

until we release another one
it include the 14.6 driver optimized files

example bat (AMD290 solo primary and pool secondary) :

sgminer.exe -k diamond -o localhost:17772 -u rpcuserXXXXX -p rpcpassXXXXXXXXX -o stratum+tcp://dmdpool.digsys.bg:3333 -u cryptonit.2 -p 2 --xintensity 300 -g 1 --thread-concurrency 16384 -w 256 --lookup-gap 0 --difficulty-multiplier 0.0039062500

Thanks for that link Smiley

PoS is set to 50% per annum with minimum 7 days coinage required.
talked about 30 days...
please give an example of calculations using as an example the sum 1000 DMD (1 transaction)
1000DMD/12 months=83.3.../4 weeks=20.83...DMD after 7 days (very little...)
correct calculation?

Hmm.. I'm really puzzled on how you arrived at the number 83.3 as 50% of 1000.
How I understand it 50% interest of 1000 after a year (annum) would give me + 500 DMDs or in total 1500 DMDs.

We have lowered the threshold of minimum coin maturing time, for two reasons.
The first one is that we didn't want force people to wait for extended periods of time before being able to mint. 30 days in crypto world is a lot of time and Diamond holders have already been waiting for far too long to do it. They simply deserve to get it here and now.
Th second reason is improved network security. Proof for Stake to be effective in securing the network needs to be constantly active (people staking all the time). 30 days does not give such protection unless Diamond is widely popular and spread, which it isn't yet.
There's another benefit of minimum 7 days required. Compound interest. Someone who stsakes every 7 days throughout the year would get more in return then someone who staked once after a year with his full amount.

This said, I want to note that people will have to learn on how PoS works and adjust their expectations to the reality. 7 days threshold does not necessarily mean that exactly after 7 days everyone is going to stake at the same time. The more coin age you have got the more likely it is to stake sooner than the others. Its a lottery not a given.

Yes, my inattention.
so: 1000 DMD in one transaction will give 500 DMD (50%) per year
500/12 months = 41.666... DMD in a month or 41.666.../4 weeks = 10.41666... DMD in a week.
Correctly?

Correctly?

It really doesn't matter if it's a single or hundred transactions, each coin stakes on its own. The mechanism in place will be automatically grouping coins to increase the chances of successful staking.
For the sake of the argument, yes, 1000 DMDs in a single transaction would produce 500 DMDs after one year (without staking throughout a year). Your maths is right.
However, if someone tried to stake each week he would not be staking on 1000 DMDs each time but in the following week he would stake from the amount of 1010.416 DMDs .. and so on..

Smiley do you know what would happen to the coin and its price at such rate? There are plenty of examples of Diamond clones which used such high return settings. They were dead within a few months. Exponential inflation killed them.

I understand that people feel better when they see big returns, but such approach is very short sighted and based on some uneconomical assumptions.
If you look for stability and want to be sure the money invested won't decrease over time look no further than low inflation rate (based on pure coin mechanics). All good coins aim for either deflation or controlled and small ~1% annual inflation rate, this creates demand for on the market coins bumping the price. The specs we have with Diamond are not taken just out of the thin air, we spent a lot of time analysing different monetary models and came to conclusion that this is it.

50% per year might sound like not that much but, first of all it's as good as it gets for this coin, after the 50% PoS period we will be on the way to very low yearly inflation model.
Secondly, you should not judge future returns based on the current market value. Diamond is severely udervalued coin, with hard workers at its core and growing community we're going to see NASA sending miners to the moon, because that's where Diamond is heading.

Please see http://dmdpool.digsys.bg/bc/ .. Difficulty at the moment is 60. You might be on a forked chain.
Revert to the earlier copy of the Blockchain if you have one and if not download one using the link in the first post and sync again.

deleted blockchain, peers.dat  and re-loading it ...  Switched to X11 mining till re-sync done ...

If the blockchain has forked the question is why?

In case u need copy of forked chain (if so) I have a zip file I made including peers.dat and debug files.

Loading wallet on another computer which I have not opened wallet for a time before I noticed diff change ... see what it says...

OK on another computer with backup wallet it synced right up and is not showing those blocks I was getting on other computer.  So I would say yes there was a fork ...

Hello, trying to set up the windows wallet but I'm getting stuck at block 386226 every time.  I've tried deleting everything but wallet.dat and syncing fresh, i've tried using the blockchain from mega, no dice.  I had this happen to me before on the jackpotcoin wallet, but deleting everything but wallet worked.  Is there a command I can use?  Also, are there more nodes I could add to a conf file to speed up or sync more reliably?  I'd imagine there should be more nodes with POS in effect now.  Thanks

I'm glad it's sorted. Fork might have happened out of high latency, the good thing is that you'd spotted it on time so you did not waste your resources.

Hi Tyr808,
I think Diamond is unique in that respect (no Jakckpot coin like). Block 386226 is a fork point where we switched form Skrypt to Groestl algorithm. It's well know that it takes time for the client to get over that block.
There is no command you can use, just wait for it to unstuck itself. When it loads and gets stuck on that block, restart the wallet and wait .. it should go through after a while.
Please report if you still experience problems with it.

I'm stuck at 386226 also for several hours resyncing my mining box.  Need some reliable nodes on proper blockchain.
Are there that many miners on forked chains to cause this problem?

I tried addnode=10.42.0.32 (which is box on correct chain on my local net) but still no progress ...

Edit: Never mind it's going now ... hopefully I can get back to mining DMD soon Smiley
