* Bidding will end at 15:00 GMT on April 20.Inspired by the farmers market thread I would like to sell 1 cup+ (8-10oz) of pure maple syrup. This was made by my wife and myself from our sugar maple trees. It would be what I estimate as grade A medium amber. It takes 40-50 gallons of maple sap and about 8-12 hours of boiling down to produce 1 gallon of tasty syrup. We have just enough for ourselves but would like to offer a bit to the bitcoin community. Will come in a sterile 15oz jar, hot vacuum sealed and good for storage on the shelf for at least a year. Not actual jar. It actually appears slightly darker in the image than the actual product. SHIPPING: The will ship from Massachusetts, USA. By either UPS or USPS. Shipping charges will be actual BTC conversion from USD at mtgox stated price on day of shipping quote (when payment is made) to your location. Rounded up to nearest .1 btc. Shipping weight can be based on 2lbs (1kilo). Will be suitably packaged. Payment is expected within 24 hours of shipping quote. * Bidding will end at 15:00 GMT on April 20.
Post your bid below.

The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

Now we need someone to sell the pancakes to have with the maple syrup Fresh maple syrup tastes really good on ice cream. I wouldn't even waste it on pancakes.

BID: 2 BTC. Every Christmas, my grandfather gives us a jar of homemade maple syrup. We've already used ours, so I hope to get another jar.
You said 1 cup, correct? How much is that in weight of syrup?

Im not sure in weight. I could find out thought. The voulme will actually be more like 10-12 oz or about the same volume as a coca-cola can.

Assuming you don't clean your equipment with formaldehyde;
Your supposed to clean the equipment? .. We use steam, soap and hot water to clean everything. It's the big producers that use PE tubes cleaned with formalin. Stanley Burroughs warned us against that some years ago. God rest your soul Stanley. Is this syrup produced this year or last?

This year, it was our first year doing it. We only got a couple gallons as we tapped a little late in the season. We only tapped 3 trees and did two boiling sessions. I have no desire to do this commercially, just enough for ourselves and friends. I see those guys with 1000's of taps going nuts trying to collect sap and keep their boiling going every night. We will be weekend warriors on this one.

I know a certain wholesaler who would be glad to set you up with drop shipping (or being a stocking dealer, whichever) Here's "his" website: http://shamblindistribution.com/
