Hello,

I have around 550 Litecoins that I am considering to trade for Bitcoins and I was wondering what's the best way to go about this, new to all this but highly experience to selling items on sites such as eBay but this is all new to me. Would I just go ahead and post a thread in the market and then arrange a deal.

Regards,

Martin.

Sign up for and use one of the exchanges. You can trade LTC for BTC on btc-e.com, vircurex.com or bter.com.

That could work, thanks for the sites. Do they have any commission fee's involved.

Regards,

Martin.

Yes there are some small fees, but compared to the risk of getting ripped off by trading person to person here on the forum it is nothing to worry about.

Anyone else noticed bter.com is off line now?

I'm about to give up, as bitfloor still owes me money.

There you go, it's back up.

These small exchanges have a HUGE inventive to stay in business...
Because it's a lot of work to get an exchange site running smoothly...
But once you reach critical mass = great cash flow.

What I have trouble understanding...
Is how Virtex is growing rapidly while charging 2-3% for most traders...
While the industry standard is in the 0.5% range.

You can, might want to use an escrow.  I've used Btc-e.
