TIL Activity does not work on precisely 2 week intervals + interval timings

i posted between July 8th and July 22nd. why didn't my activity update?

My activity didn't update too. I think it will update on or before 13th. I think it is 2 week interval which starts after you sign up. So I the date which the update is done will differ from users to users.
Correct me if I am wrong.

Nope, you are wrong, and the information in OP is correct.
Each period starts and ends at the same moment for everybody.

mine was stuck as well on 238 as of about an hour ago, but when i logged in just now, it was updated to 252. seems to be an inexact science!

I don't think mine has been updated yet does it take 15 minutes to update? I'm sure I read this somewhere? I would like to ask too for it to update do you have to post on the exact day it updates or post between each set of dates?

Thanks for that I wasn't quite sure whether I had to post on the day but I did notice after making 2-3 posts my activity did update so I should allow 30 minutes for it to update next time and not panic that my account was broke.

Your activity won't go up just because you log in your account in a new period.
You need to make a post in order to increase the "time" value in the activity formula.

The activity number is determined in this way:
time = number of two-week periods in which you've posted since your registration
activity = min(time * 14, posts)

The forum staff listen to all the concerns , and I don't really see any huge problems in the way of a fully functional site.
If you see any obvious flaws , that you would like to be fixed , make a post in the new forum software subforum.

Yup, if you have suggestions feel free to make them. Why would the new forum not fix or improve on this one? I think that's the whole point of it. They seem to have taken on many suggestions from users in the new forum software sub and a lot of them seem to have been acted on or taken on board.
