Hello. I sent to poloniex.com from the purse of xmr, I sent with mixin 0, earlier always so I sent. And mixin 6 was necessary. Transaction of not confirmed yet (https://minergate.com/blockchain/mro/transaction/f9e2551e60ec55c0caca725dd07c6e23c48175398387edfc35289f369d2cea08). It will be confirmed? or what to do?
That transaction probably will not confirm because it is too large. The first 0.9 release had that problem which was fixed in 0.9.1

You should try rescan_spent which may recover the funds back to your wallet and you can send them again after upgrading to the 0.9.1 release

If that doesn't work, check back here.
]: rescan_spent
Error: this command requires a trusted daemon. Enable with --trusted-daemon
what to do?
Restart simplewallet with --trusted-daemon added to the command line. That means simplewallet may send private data to the daemon (needed for rescan_spent), so your privacy could be compromised if using a remote daemon. If you are using your own deamon, this is nothing to worry about.

I made rescan_spent, xmr were reflected in a purse, was updated till 0-9-1-0, in attempt to send xmr wrote Error: transaction <feb341ebc7e9ed474ee1041a61dd82a67152f5ba07c6f2bc10f8cb8f8e1d2d93> was rejected by daemon with status: Failed, made once again rescan_spent, writes again that on balance these coins aren't present, and in show_transfers there is pending out 113.800000000000 f9e2551e60ec55c0caca725dd07c6e23c48175398387edfc35289f369d2cea08 0000000000000000 0.340000000000 how to return them? or to make that reached the destination?

prompt, please, how to return coins?

Try this

1. Exit simplewallet

2. Make sure your wallet.bin.keys file is securely backed up

3. Delete the wallet.bin file.

4. Exit daemon

5. Remove poolstate.bin file

6. Restart daemon

7. Restart simplewallet.

8. Wait for wallet to rescan (may take some time).

9. Check balance and resend coins

EDIT: Added steps 4-6

^ this was my perception

The printed words do not work. Visually it is too cluttered, and in terms of meaning, it raises more questions than answers. Keep the icons only. Let people be intrigued by the design and ask questions. That is a good thing. It also removes the English bias.

I left decentralized, private, digital

Maybe make the labels a little smaller or move them closer to the outside. The "D" at the beginning and end of decentralized is too close to the edge. The other two words look much better.

Thank you for your effort aiwe, this is taking shape.

Personally, I would prefer different colours, more primary and less "mixed". Especially the kind of pink on the "decentralized" portion is kind of muddy and also the resulting mixes, especially the brown in the gold section, are not very appealing.

Please don't take that personally, I'm not even able to use the software to design this kind of stuff so your initiative is very much appreciated. Just an observation.

You are right.

Maybe I spam with this chart too much. If so we can move to trello for example.

I like the coin and community and this diagram shows its advantages I learned about. It's just that simple to throw something in to help it grow.

I can help with some graphic design in my spare time so feel free to contact me.

This is progressing really nicely. I like it with the text - it may be obvious to us, but for outsiders the description helps.

This chart would be great if there was ever a new informative video made about Monero. Something like a quick flash of each of the three areas to draw attention to them along with a brief commentary to explain them. Good work aiwe.

•Added Ramer–Douglas–Peucker smoothing to the market depth graph, dependant on zoom level
•Using either  moneroblocks.info or chainradar.com (whichever is giving data faster)

Coinmarketcap data retrieved through http://coinmarketcap.northpole.ro/ JSON API

Using the GraphView library from http://android-graphview.org/ , licenced under the LGPL

Donations welcome Smiley Many thanks to those that have already donated!

----------------------------------------------------------------

Updates
•Stuck values bug fixed. (Yeah, it took some time...)
•Unexpected bug fixes!
•Experimental Price Alarms.
The new permissions (receive data from Internet, prevent device from sleeping, control vibration) are only used if you enable alerts. Alerts are using Google Cloud Messaging, so Google Play Services are required. Only the settings on the alerts page are sent to the server, and wakelock is kept just for the duration of handling a message; Play Services handle  reception in a power efficient way.

And please make feature requests or tell us about bugs! It really helps!

Monero Status
[...]

Nice! Happy to use it again!
Once thing not obvious: with the app comes a very useful widget to monitor price and hashrate. Head to the widgets on your Android to find it.

Monero's privacy and therefore fungibility are MUCH stronger than Bitcoin's.
This makes Monero a better candidate to deserve the term "digital cash".

Monero is offline on ShapeShift.io for multiple days now, this is quite inconvenient if you would like to try monero for the first time or conveniently buy small amounts for actual usage. Sent ShapeShift an email, but the answer is rather cryptic. What do they mean and what can we do to help them?

My email to support, 30 January:

Hi,

Monero appears offline for over 24 hours. However, when using the direct link https://shapeshift.io/?pair=BTC_XMR I managed to convert BTC to Monero.
There seems to be a bug in the BTC deposit limit, because when entering an XMR amount the system does calculate 'Your New Limit = 2.30 BTC".

Hello,

We don't recommend you continuing this as its possible it will fail to send your funds and you will have to contact us again.
Left it up on the API to continue to test it. We turned Monero off because the client is failing to send tx's reliably. Please let us know if you have any further questions, have a great day!

I think it might have something to do with the transactions getting stuck issue that some people incurred here. Could you send them a reply that if they need help the developers/contributers in #monero or #monero-dev can easily help them?

Privacy matters, use Monero - A true untraceable cryptocurrency

Nice work on the infographic!
I was wondering if the image of gold is immediately identifiable as gold.
I searched google images for gold
https://www.google.com/search?q=gold&biw=1920&bih=950&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwin28zuzNfKAhWBPB4KHdrVCEwQsAQILw
some of them really say GOLD!  There's several that looked good.  Here's one example

FYI, cross-posting from: Want to help Monero? We're trying to find a Mozillian that can champion our project to Mozilla.

Hi guys. We've been itching to approach Mozilla to see if we qualify for their Open Source Support program, especially for things like the Kovri I2P router. In order to do that we need a current Mozillian who will apply with us, and will champion to Mozilla for the grant we'd apply for.

We've had a couple of hopefuls that haven't really panned out, they're either not interested in the project or no longer active Mozillians. If you know anyone, or you are a Mozillian, please let us know so we can work together on making Monero better:)

Don't know how sincere this guy is, but was just browsing around and saw this post on the bitcoin section of the forum:

Quote
I am volunteering at few trade shows involving technology in August & November/December of this year.  One of these trade shows will be in Pennsylvania and another will be in Ohio.  I am looking for someone who is interested in coming out to speak to the public about what Bitcoin/Altcoins are and how they work.  If you would be interested, please post here or message me.  I am looking for only those who are serious and know what they are talking about.  Message me if you have any other questions.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1349226.0

Could possibly be a good way to get someone knowledgeable from our community to speak about Monero in relation to Bitcoin to other genuinely interested people if someone is near the area.
