Was wondering if someone could help. I just downloaded the latest version. I'm trying to run (Windows 64bit) monerod.exe. It opens up then closes immediately. Sometimes it opens up but just hangs there. Any suggestions?

Run it from the command prompt, so you can actually see the error message:

- click start, type cmd, open program cmd.exe
- navigate to your Monero folder and run monerod.exe

- You can figure out what will happen, not when /Warren Buffett
- Pay any Bitcoin address privately with a little help of Monero.

Thanks for keeping us updated. Smiley

Also can you point me to where it's explained why this is added?

add HTTP digest authentication support to all RPC interfaces

And BIG thanks to all on this list as well.

It should be, those fixes are very important on both GUI and CLI.

I successfuly replaced the 0.10.1 files by the 1.10.2.1 in the GUI directory, seems to work :-)

The change in memory usage (Linux 64-bit) from Monero release 10.1 to 10.2 is just impressive (had some downtime in between the update):

Wow. That is really impressive. I havent checked how much ram gets eaten on windoze but I can bet its not less than 3gb. Theres still an uncertainty with enormous ram consumption and cpu load during sync, and this is why I never fully synced the daemon. The frustration of waiting problem.

Windows 10 x64, 10.2.1 :

daemon + GUI = 350 Mb after sync, maximum was 600 to 800 Mb in total during sync, if I'm not mistaken...

Thanks I'll pack it up now and mail tomorrow.

I used to accept 10 currencies but it was too much work to manage all the wallets.
