Will the new AMD gpu architecture change landscape of monero mining?  It seems new architecture will be able to stream data from system memory or an SSD.

Not a bug. Those messages can be ignored.

The reorg message is normal and the batch transaction message is a known issue by the db developer and he says it is harmless.

But not synced since 3 days.
Wrong balance, how is that not bug?

Have you upgraded to the latest software? Monero hard forked 3 days ago.

I have Monero wallet hmm 3 weeks old.
So if I no have latest so I cant send coins to market or everywhere ?
Or will be still working Huh

Probably best to ask in #monero-pools (freenode).

I think its the same cache patch that pool ops used before.

I've just updated it to the latest version as it did not apply anymore.

https://github.com/moneromooo-monero/bitmonero/commits/cache-block-template

It seems to still work fine and I have no reason to believe it would not be, but I've not tested beyond mining a bit.

Any chance that the fees can be removed for cleaning up the wallet?
I dont get why this charge even exists.

Its going to cost me almost my entire balance just to clean up the wallet.

This is because the mining pools were making many micro payments instead of larger amounts.

Why cant micro payments be made without the huge fees involved in cleaning up the wallet?
I see this being a huge problem if the price increases.

No other coins have this problem that im aware of.

Most coins don't have this "clean up" (sweep) as direct option, from what I know.
But with Bitcoin, if you have a ton of small inputs you can send all the money to a (another?) wallet of yours and will achieve the same result.
And (with Bitcoin) if you have the wallet full of dust, your tx fee will be getting huge too.

I probably relayed your message to the developers, but forgot to open a specific issue for it. Hence, it might have been overlooked. I've opened an issue now for more visibility.

https://github.com/monero-project/monero-core/issues/655

Got it! Thanks for doing this. Coolness! Other than that, really nice new features in the current release.

The release notes mentioned "unsigned transaction" and "Cold transaction signing". Do these mean that offline transaction signing is now possible with this release? If so, is there a step-by-step guide/instruction on how to go about it posted somewhere?

Yes and this is as close to a guide as I could find:

https://monero.stackexchange.com/questions/2160/how-do-i-use-cold-transaction-signing

https://monero.stackexchange.com/questions/2868/is-there-any-way-to-construct-a-transaction-manually/

Note that these guides use the CLI, so they might need some tweaking for the GUI.

Thank you.

I'd wait until it gets incorporated into GUI. Will it be so in the next release? CLI horrifies me so I'm liable to bungle the process. Nevertheless, I bookmarked the links...just in case.

Cold signing is integrated into the GUI. That said, the guides / tutorials are based on the CLI. However, with some tweaking you should be able to follow them using the GUI.

Did you try setting fee to Low? That should now be a lot less expensive than it was before the last fork, and also a lot less than the default (1/4)

None, it was a scheduled protocol update:

Monero has scheduled hard forks ~6 months. The block reward does not change with hard forks. Currently, the block reward is ~7.85 XMR, and blocks are every 2 minutes.

Tried using the GUI with a dusty old mining wallet from the Before Time (The Long Long Ago).

Can't send anything without ridiculous tx fees, regardless of amount.

Can't sweep unmixables, gives this error:

Code:
Couldn't send the money: transaction <xxx> was rejected by daemon with status: Failed. Reason: mixin too low

Guess I should have sent the entire balance to a different address with no mixin back when that was possible?  Huh Grin Undecided

Sweep unmixable should still work. If it doesn't it is a bug.

Have you tried with cli?

Also setting fee to low should result in much lower fees than before (though still may be high if the old dust is 'dusty enough')
