I like monero as it is the first privacy coin, but I think it has already done what needs to be done. Now, it's time for young privacy coins such as Ryocurrency to do something amazing because I only like quality instead of quantity. And when it comes to Cryptonote tech I appreciate the Ryo dev team for their deep research on it. If I'm not wrong RYO lead dev also worked with monero in the past.

I like that you have gone out of your way to come here and tell us this revelation that you have had and that you are showing us the light of a new and shiny shitcoin to get dumped on from but I think instead I will just add you to the ignore list and maybe paint you red if I see you continuing to shill shitcoins in this thread.

I think I like the vision of Monero, despite the clear fact that it's development have been somewhat stalled. I just wish the developers will brainstorm on how best to move forward again and achieve the full potentials of Monero.

Extremely underrated and misunderstood feature of Monero. At least outside the Monero inner circle. It is the main reasons I fell for Monero next to privacy, since it allows for scalability and long term security of the network.

- Pay any Bitcoin address privately with a little help of Monero.

I was thinking about mining Monero with a cluster of Cubietruck boards (Cubieboard 3) I own some time ago. But i do not expect even a cluster of 10 boards to mine an amount of XMR that is worth the work setting all up.
If someone smarter can tell me that i am wrong with this, i would be happy about a pm  Wink  Cheesy

The most important thing about "thankful_for_today" is that it’s rumored that he was part of another cryptocurrency called ByteCoin. This coin had fake 2-year blockchain which essentially tricked people into thinking it was a legitimate investment.

One important thing about "thankful_for_today" is that it’s rumored that he was part of the original CryptoNote coin called ByteCoin, Bytecoin had a faked 2-year 82% Premined blockchain which essentially attempted to trick people into thinking it was a legitimate project. The lie being purported was that it had been used on the darknet for 2 years without anyone knowing about it.

I don't know if thankful_for_today was actually proven to be an initial Bytecoin scammer.

Monero is a big project by cap but there is a difference between big and good, I think young privacy coins such as Ryocurrency(RYO) is far better than in terms of quality/use-case and privacy. RYO did research on cryptonote protocol and fix the possible issues but after 6 years monero is still failed to do.

Fuck off to their thread then and stop spamming your BS crap here.

Anyone can see the open source developments of Monero, prove to me there has been nothing done in 6 years?

What a crock of shit.

Best way to make people stay out of RYO.

To not focus in last 6 years we can focus in last 6 months.  For those that dont monitor Monero progress weekly can now read a half year summary of the second half of 2019.

We spoke about cyber and decentralised search to Monero talk during CCC in Germany. (I timestamped the video at 33.50, if it doesn't work, you can just jump there, however the guys talking before me with Monero Talk are very good too):

I was creating the dev summaries years ago. Remember the Monero whirlwind missives?

Bullet point summaries of the dev effort each month, from their more detailed summaries.

Even that was hard to keep up with.

Monero is a big project but big is not always good, a small project like RYO which is the next big competitor of monero fix all the flaws that monero failed to do in Cryptonote protocol. Monero is itself a big question mark on decentralization, if you ask monero community about this they won't give you an answer of it they will start talking about something else that has nothing to do with Decentralization. And monero Emissions are the worst emission scheme in the crypto space they have mined 40% of coins in the first year when difficulty was low there and later on they dump all those coins which result in quick fall from $400 to 70$ while small project like RYO focuses on the things that monero promised us as a privacy coin, Privacy, security, decentralization, and fairness.
So, when it comes to privacy coins I go for Ryocurrency instead of monero because I believe in quality not in quantity and we all know only quality can survive in the long-term.

Yes. It is to bad that not all that what was written in past was not put at a same place. There was few different people that was doing this recaps. I remember at some point was even a video podcast. But that had only few episodes. Also all chat logs from developers meetings.  But on the other hand, now there are so many groups and so many meetings that storing all would maybe make just a huge mess. Lets hope that revuo-monero wil last forever. Smiley
