Or is it maybe login key (word sequence) enough to recover whole wallet ? Can I start simplewallet with those as starting arguments?

In theory the login (seed words) should be enough to recover the whole wallet (once the shorter seed format is fixed), but printing out the whole page and storing it in a safe place is a good idea anyway.

Just be sure to properly dispose of printers with HDD.

WTF with the price?

Major support at 150000 satoshis pulled.

Monero is behind BitcoinDark in market cap. Check www.coinmarketcap.com

Behind in price does not equal being behind.

It's still good to look at to keep us honest, though, regardless of whatever we *think* our long term fundamental advantages are. Monero definitely has a perception problem from many investors' points of view at the moment.
I can understand your sentiment, but I ask:

How can you single-handedly perceive that many investors' points of view reflect a problem with Monero's perception?

Simply because we know that big money is flowing into various cryptocurrency projects right now, and they just aren't choosing Monero.

Do you mean the SuperNET etc? Or could you give examples? I think it's best to wait with marketing before we have all core features implemented and working.

Privacy matters, use Monero - A true untraceable cryptocurrency

I wonder if it's not overoptimistic: it seems we expect people to flock en masse just because "some marketing"...
The marketing that is synonym to education to a larger community shouldn't be increased by now?

Monero's privacy and therefore fungibility are MUCH stronger than Bitcoin's.
This makes Monero a better candidate to deserve the term "digital cash".

I ask readers to embrace newcomers with patience. Put yourself in the position of one who never followed altcoins and never wanted anything to do with altcoins. Learning about the Cryptonote family alone and its long, varied history is almost overwhelming.
I tried to provide an useful comparison/explanation on the state of anon coins. I hope you'll have as much pleasure reading as I had writing it.

the only "altcoin" getting serious amounts of money is counterparty and maybe the at this point non-existent ethereum. they handle completely different markets.

I do not know if monero will fly in the future but the mixture of the biggest existent niche, a competent development team, a healthy community with tons of early bitcoin adopters is probably not the worst point to start.

So do it. This is a volunteer community project, not a company. The developer team is paid nothing and has no stash of premine or IPO money to spend on marketing or anything else.

Bitcoin was built on the backs of people who went out there and spread the word, not by some promoter spending money on slick web sites and other vehicles to try to sell you something. Monero is the same. We have a few people doing this, but more are always needed.

It would be nice if XMR was adopted by Shapeshift Lens. Someone who knows a dev go tap them on the shoulder.

THIS is a great read and a outstanding synopsis.

I asked them to support XMR a couple weeks ago and they said keep an eye out. Could happen soon I think.

Edit: working now
Edit: working now
https://bittrex.com/Status shows 0 connections between XMR daemon and network, so sticking onto block height 331088 331147 now
There is some technical issue. BBR coin same problem.

Check their twitter feed. They had some kind of database problem recently, and are apparently still in the process of recovering (no recent update).

U guys should be trying to compare Monero to DogeCoinDark not DarkCoin AnonCoin or ShadowCash as atm DogeCoinDark is the only truly untraceable/anonymous coin while all those others are pure PR up to now nothing delivered. Someone in the RieCoin thread tried to prove otherwise put in the end left the conversation and lost face. Anyway I think Monero is a cool project and speculation/ bad rumors is what hurts Monero has nothing to do with the coin itself.

Didn't you see it, marketing has started already:

I think dark market arrests are good for Monero.  Ideally, I would like to see someone arrested on the basis of unwinding DRK xns.  Any volunteers?

My current deal with Monero ends on December 20th as we came to an agreement for 60 days of BCX free Monero.

They have however offered a proposition for DRK but I wanted to find out about it first.

I think they feel that DRK is why they are steadily falling week over week.

Each XMR holder should be a XMR marketer. If you don't act yourself to protect your investment, you fail. If you can code, please contribute to the project

Good gif video & clear explanation on contemporary state of cryptocurrency anonymizing technologies!

What about schedule on Monero missives? Are they still positioned to be released on Monday?
