We need the OP to update the list of Pools info with some facts on how the pool(s) will handle themselves.
They need to state publicly on the record what they will do when a pot is found on their pool.
For example i am on Cloudminers and i have no idea what would happen..

and more importantly is even if they stated what would happen here it's going to get buried and some pages back fast..
So i think the best place would be on the OP's fist post to inform us all what the various pool(s) policy is on the Jackpot.
It should be a deciding factor on what pool we to choose to use..

I have to say, mining this coin is the most fun I had in a long time mining alt coins. now, if miningpoolhub stays to his word, and gives the finder 50% of the jackpot while splitting the other 50% among the other miners, other pools will have to do the same. Otherwise, miningpoolhub will get A LOT of new miners soon, while the other pools will lose them.

I don't expect massive price increases now, but as soon as PoS kicks fully in, this is getting really interesting...

This means two things:
* The probability of releasing the jackpot is too high small
* One can determine when this one can be found

I hit the withdrawal button in my browser with the QT wallet in another window... 4 Seconds ! and it's in the unconfirmed balance. 5 seconds after that it's in the confirmed balance.

Maybe you are right,
I think there is no problem to generate the random number, just not enough to sample to cover whole range,
and, chance of jackpot, It should be RANDOM (my means even chance to everybody),
I have experienced with  other coin, they use a random reward or bonus,
There is a way to predict the chance before hashing, and selectable just before Jackpot or Higher Rewards
Of cause, this coin also predictable, but, there is no chance to selectable,
It is meaning of True Random (not just means of Random Algorithm, MTRandom has verified one already),
It is just my guess, so, maybe I am wrong.. ^^

When does POS kick in ? I don't see anything about it in the specs (page 1 of this thread) except the staking interest rates etc.

Also, do we need to have our wallets running to "stake" ?

it will kick in 24hours after launch... it has worked well since then... you need to have your wallet open and unlock to get the minted block

just wondering was the 90M and minting right now... what will happen to the minted coin ?
