CryptoCobain backs this coin. He's a serious whale trader with a lot of followers. So no wonder this coin takes off to fly. Congrat!

getting voted onto mint pal is a horrible choice. all the last coins voted on went there to die! I love saffron coin ... just want it to succeed. Let the volume grow and once it has a big enough volume , mintpal will add it, then sky is the limit folks!

I agree with you eraborltc but there are more active traders on cryptsy, mintpal and poloniex. I personally trade much more on those 3 exchanges. Eg. Vericoin has 20 btc volume on Bittrex where as it has 400 btc volume on mintpal!

Im not saying we don't want to be on mintpal, I'm saying we don't want to get onto mint pal by the voting system. It will ruin this coin, we want to get onto mint pal the right way. By earning our spot with volume ,then mint pal adds us and we fly to the mooooon!! great coin ! would be a shame to see it die like ENTROPY or IFORMATIONCOIN or YELLOWCOIN or CRYPTOMETH and the list goes on...

Great Point! But it would be ages to get on Mintpal by just voting lol. We are currently on #145 and there are 1000s of votes ahead. It is pretty unrealistic! I will also stop the ongoing giveaway for getting votes. If MintPal adds us by themselves then those votes would be a waste.

Agreed 100% on Mintpal. Poloniex would add us sooner anyway. They are not as 'aggresive' as Bittrex but Poloniex takes on more coins than Mintpal. In my own personal trading experience I seem to end up on Poloniex & Bittrex 90% of the time.....even after I was hacked on Poloniex, Im still there...didnt use 2F auth and lost 0.3btc was very lucky as it could have been a lot more.

Congrat Saffroncoin. You are the first who could implement such nice algos. I think for better future we could consider get rid off sha256, scrypt and even x11. Instead we could add: pure-groestl (not myriad-groestl), nist5 (in talkcoin), twecoin (or jph(jackpot), x13). With this we could declare that saffroncoin is ASICs, FPGA-free for at least 2 years. To bad I did pay attention for Saffron earlier.

Thanks! We will let the community decide what they want. X13 is on our cards but we will look to implement it much later incase a better algo pops out in the open.

Thanks! We will let the community decide what they want. X13 is on our cards but we will look to implement it much later incase a better algo pops out in the open. The facts that you could implement two others algos to the core myriad source shows that you are a very competent dev. And it is the most important thing for a coin. Thus, I don't think it will be a problem for you to implement others algo to saffroncoin. As long as people realize that X11 will be dominated by FPGA soon, they will scream about it. I know it takes a lot of your time but it worths. Please check out some algos which I recommend. It would be one great coin for a while if you could do this. Btw I forget something. It would be even nicer if you could implement some CPU-algos. I recommend dcrypt from slimcoin, which is now still GPU-free. I know that no algo is GPU-free forever but it maybe worth a shot. Great work.

Great work. We have blake that is only minable from the wallet with CPU for now because of the particular implementation if I understood correctly
