Thats only possible if you fucked up in the first place, like getting trojaned, visiting a fake lookalike-site or having stolen your private 2fa key/secret. And yes - its not foolproof. Almost nothing is. But its safe if used the right way - unless the website gets hacked, has a malfunction or a security hole.

As for moolah contact them. Spamming this thread will do nothing.
snipsnoop and others, can we just not only delete, but ban posters that are here to cause FUD and problems? I'm all for voicing concerns or being constructive toward developers if done tactfully, but we know this place is very toxic, and intentions to FUD are purposeful. Can we as a community here just decide to have zero tolerance to bullshit and FUD? If it's FUD or bs delete. Also everyone knows if there is legit questions they will be answered and almost always a developer in IRC or someone that can help. This is not average coin, and I don't think a company like Apple, or Microsoft would put up with the childish behavior, I would hope on new thread this zero tolerance is applied. If they don't like it, start a new thread about all your FUD and bs. We are planning to lock the thread.. The amount of FUD is insane at this stage. Will either launch a heavy moderated one or move to our own forums. Start a new modded thread here, starting your own forums makes it difficult for new users to find the coin because they can't be bothered with making a new account - like me really. I agree with sussex. For now as bad as it is btctalk is the place for a new moderated thread. TBH I typically dont even read coin forums that are not on btctalk. The navigation is usually crap and it shows the devs dont have their finger on the pulse of what is happening right now. When sys are $100 a piece then people will spend the extra effort to find a "off btctalk" thread and register and all that nonsense but for now here is where it's at. I fully support a moderated thread. Those that fear a modded thread are typically the fuddsters. Keep pushing forward devs!

I never went to a lookalike site and I was out of the country for a month and my computer was never turned on when it happened. It happens much more than you think.

Simple as that. ps: I edited the answer you quoted before you actually posted your reply. edit: One reason for it being secure is that the only places where your private key is stored are under your own control (your mobile, your backups of the QR code etc pp). So if this key gets stolen, the only possible fuckup is you. The server or website which secures accounts via 2fa doesnt know your private key/secret (unless the admin is a moron).

That's one reason why one should never keep much money on an exchange. I once felt the same way you do about 2fa, but it turned out I was wrong. Fortunately it was just an MMO account that was compromised and not anything that cost me any money.

Those not seeing the new features:
(yes, mostly the win QT users here)
go to help --> Debug window --> console
WHOA OH MY GOD ITS A COMMAND LINE!
then type for example "offerscan 1 100" to see the first 100 actual market offers type "certissuerscan 1 100" to see the first 100 certificate issuers
WHOA OH MY GOD I SAW SOME OF THE NEW FEATURES
getting interested in more? type "help" to see all commands available, focus on all those starting with "offer" "alias" and "cert"
REPOST FOR THE WIN!!!!!!! READ AND UNDERSTAND! Ps: whoever finds some sarcasm please repost

Sounds like famous last words. edit: the concept is good, but obviously there are implementations of that concept that are flawed.

To err is human, but it takes a computer to really screw things up. Okay. Truce (I had to try to get the last word in. According to my wife, it's one of my many problems.)

you are supposed to do one after another. unlock the wallet for a given time, THEN execute the commands requiring unlock. see "help" and "help walletpassphrase"

All wallets are indeed syncing as long as you have the most recent version. You should not need to change it, just close it, clear the data (except for the wallet.dat) and restart it, if it does not work, come on #syscoin on IRC and someone should be able to help you
