I remember seeing this coin quite some time ago when you could mine Scrypt algorithm with your GPUs for profit.
Good to see it on an exchange though.

talk with BARR Ok, I will have to look into that. I remember this was a pretty fun coin when all the Scrypt coins were coming out but it hardly had any community and on & off exchanges constantly. It hit a LTC market then things went quiet... Even the thread is very quiet with the usual Birdcoin poster not bumping anymore... I hope he is alright. |

Was sifting through old threads and came across this... Can't believe BRD is still around! Anyway, I'm actually edric, my account got hijacked ages ago and I never bothered doing anything about it. This was one of those random coins I just decided to take over updating, out of boredom and as a learning experience. Good times. I have a couple wallets somewhere worth a combined 300m BRD, though I'll likely never find my backups and the originals died in the big hdd crash of last year (along with my midget porn and fur fanfics). Birdcoin has been dead since launch, Edric who used to provide updates to BIRD ran away from bitcointalk due to chasing the dragon....
You're sorta half right... Though my "dragon" is a person. Edric used the BirdCoinV2 handle and so did yourself ciocgun to provide updates to the threads, bit of a coincidence ?
I don't know who BirdCoinV2 was, but it wasn't me. I only ever used my main account, that's it. I'm doing different stuff nowadays, not much coin development, but if anyone is interested in a (real) relaunch I'd be glad to help get wallets compiled and all that other fun stuff |

We're trying to buy cheap BIRD to start the activity but in that market it is so difficult. We quoted the coin at 20Litoshi, trying to buy at 10 Litoshi for bounties and our business plan. Currently the mining rewards are miserably low, but back then they were much bigger, and there should be people with huge amount of BIRD coins just siting in wallet on a dusty old PC somewhere. It shouldn't be a problem for them to find the wallet and send some coins, to make their old investment worth something. |
