Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

I believe in this coin, but we need some volume  Grin Grin

When you sell/dump your birdcoin, REBUY with the same amount to get a nice wall, so we can attract other buyers also with the volume!!

Hey guys, pardon my absence lately, just too much going on... Kids are out of school and I haven't had much chance to hang with them lately so we had some serious GTA:IV and Street Fighter marathons. Then my judgement got the better of me after I ran into a girl my sister used to hang out with, and after 6 months of not having any "relations" I had to take a little detour. I remember why I quit drinking now.

Anyways, I haven't had a chance to read up since my last post, so not sure where we are with the PoS plans or what's even going on. It's like 7am and I haven't slept yet so I'll come back and read up when my head isn't about to explode. Saw someone having problems compiling, is there a new release already that I missed? Please PM me if I'm missing something important, so I can make sure the pool is taken care of.

Big thanks to Pandacoin for the Mac wallet, I've about had it trying to ghetto build on a Mac VM running on AMD hardware. My mining rig is barely running as is off the usb stick so I'm probably going to rip out my SSD and throw it into that, then maybe I can build a proper Mac VM running on Intel. If Pandacoin is who I think it is we were talking about one of my gaming sites on another board, http://such-chance.fedaykin.us (doge version), a PND version has been requested, and I'll get a Bird version going as well for fun. It's a high/lo game, relatively new and not quite finished and polished but is production ready. It's awesome because it allows every player not only to make bets but to invest coins, thereby owning a percentage of the house take. Example: Bob invests 5k, Jeff invests 5k.. Total investments are 10k, Bob owns 50% and Jeff owns 50%. Plus, it's open source, which is awesome considering all the crappy ripoff satoshidice scripts going around, pay $100 for the script and the guy who sold it to you cleans your wallet out later on. Yeah screw that.

Ok, I'm about done for, I'll be back later on. If I've missed alot, if someone wouldn't mind bringing me up to speed in a PM or something that'd be awesome. I've got a lot of time invested in BirdCoin and I will continue to support it the best I can. Let me know how I can help out, and don't be afraid to nag me about stuff, because I'm always doing about 50 things at once and get sidetracked easily!

Oh, nearly forgot, Bird/LTC is moving nicely, at least it was yesterday.. I bought as much as I could at 1 and put it all back up for more, I normally don't even try messing around on markets, but it's kind of exciting that finally our Birds are flying.

Edit: I went back and read a bit... Yeah, my comprehension is about bolloxed. Anyway, I've got to sort out my servers when I'm rested (huge cleanup, backup logs, remove junk), when that's finished I'll work on getting the gambling running. Been putting that off far too long. We have a good faucet, right? I'm about to be making some changes to the flappy bird faucet game thingie so if there's interest... And remember folks, PM me if you need me, I try to check in as often as possible which usually isn't half as often as necessary.

Did it return you a TXID when you sent the 12m? Most often, when a Bird transaction fails, it completely fails and won't return a TXID. I haven't seen too many situations where a transaction actually gets stuck or conflicted, most large transactions just simply fail to transmit.

This is why we need to port Bird over to a newer and more stable codebase... I have GOT to put some time in for that.

I keep reminding my users at the pool to NOT let their account balances pile up beyond 10m, because there's no support in MPOS to split transactions up (yet!) so when a user lets it pile up to 30 million and triggers a manual payout, it fails to process but still gets taken off the user's balance, so I must go in the cli and split it up into 10m or smaller bits. Nevertheless, no matter how many times I say it, its still a frequent occurrence and a headache.

Transactions between 10-20m randomly fail, sometimes below 10m will fail. Anything above 20m almost ALWAYS fails. Be safe and keep your transactions small. I know it's a PITA but better safe than sorry.

Funny thing is, I jumped in here to say that the hi/lo chance game will be delayed a bit more, and its because of this issue. No matter how many times I tell people don't do it, they're still going to try withdrawing 50m birdcoins from the game, it'll fail, and I'd have to manually process the payouts as well as go into the DB and Redis store to fix the bookkeeping (the game is very particular about bookkeeping).

Some changes are underway to the hi/lo game software to avoid payout issues. When it's finished I'll be opening up a BirdCoin-Chance hi/lo game.
