Anyone missing their address in the receive diem tab?

According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

Maybe one of these days everything will just work perfectly.  Delete everything in your appdata/roamig folder except wallet.dat and make a carpediemcoin.conf  with these 2 line

connect=192.241.161.175
connect=208.107.223.242
connect=2.248.1.66

What Yarkol said   Grin

One is me the other is a perm node.  I had to do it twice to get it to the right block.  Currently 31514

I know this sucks ass guys.....

Hi
here are detailed instructions:

The permanent node is on 192.241.161.175 104.131.137.243
It is on a server and meant to be running all the time
so everyone can sync on it.

Now you can ensure that you sync with it by deleting
everything on your data directory (EXCEPT WALLET.DAT)
and putting

Code:
connect=104.131.137.243

to your conf file.

The connect means that your wallet connects only to
the permanent node, so don't put multiple lines with connect=x.x.x.x in
it.

Then restart your wallet. If it gets stuck on block, just
close the wallet and restart. Once it is synced, close the wallet
and change the line to

Code:
addnode=104.131.137.243

Addnode ensures that you're connected to the permanode and can
connect to other nodes too.

I know it's a hassle.. Later there will probably be another
wallet update and we can hardcode the permanode (that is, turn it
into proper seed node) so you need not to perform these acrobatics.

ps. 31601 right now

Our friends with XSI are asking for our help with their push on mintpal.  Could everyone throw them a few votes please?  Thanks

Also if you want to make dling the blockchain a little easier there's a bootstrap.dat in the win wallet dl.  Throw that in your appdata folder and that will get you through all those blocks we keep getting stuck on.

When you following Yarkol's directions please make sure you back up your wallet and make sure your balance is correct after you sync.  I had coins that were in Stake and when I got synced they were gone till I loaded my backup wallet.  Better safe then sorry!

I would also keep your wallet locked just until you know you are on the right chain.

I'm seeing clients being rejected by
the permanode because they are on the wrong
fork already.

If you're connected to 192.241.161.175, stuck
and restarting the wallet doesn't help, just
start again by deleting old blocks and reconnecting
as per the instructions above.

It is mathematically impossible for you not
to sync if your only connection is the permanent
node  Smiley

I would also keep your wallet locked just until you know you are on the right chain.

Sound advice, and always backup too!

If i copy carpediemcoin.conf to empy appdata\roaming\capediemcoin folder, i have only rejects.

Maybe permanode block my IP?

appdata\roaming\carpediemcoin

That's the right folder.
Make a backup copy of it, then delete everything
but wallet.dat
Put there carpediemcoin.conf with just this line
connect=192.241.161.175

Start the wallet. If stuck, close and restart.
For me it takes about 20 minutes to download
the entire chain, and I have to restart 3-4 times.

I don't think Poloniex is fully synced up yet. Until further notice I would say not to transfer any Diem from Poloniex until we advise so. Mind you it is safe to buy from polo they are just not fully synced up.
