Hello peeps, how is trading going ? Smiley
According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

POS is still not released??

Sorry if dumb question, but I've been out of the loop for 2months and POS was already promised/delayed and just around the corner way back then.

Sorry if dumb question, but I've been out of the loop for 2months and POS was already promised/delayed and just around the corner way back then.

The significant number of problems with the block times forced a move to a more reliable Proof of Work phase, this is currently active, Proof of Stake is still planned, and is still being worked on, now that there's a more reliable blockchain it's more likely to be sooner rather than later.

We still don't have an accurate estimate given to us, but we do know that it is actually being worked on and is actually going to be released.

So, with the demise of MintPal, where is all the trading volume?

Is there any voting effort to get listed at BTER? It seems to be the biggest and most active exchange these days.

Perhaps some community and or dev support can be added to vote NAUT up at BTER.

Actually bittrex is the bigger exchange and the volume has been pretty good the last days. Higher than it was on mintpal if I remember correctly.

BTER might be a nice addition though.

Ah thanks, Bitrex isn't on my radar cause I never trade there. All my trading is done on BTER and the NXT AE. I use crypontator to track my portfolio, just thought to look at it's NAUT volume page and see it does list Bitrex with the most volume. (Gotta stop forgeting about these tools I have.) Although, 100k volume seems pretty low.

Now, let's get that PoS that was "in testing" months ago released! At least a testnet version to show some progress.

100k or 14BTC is not low at all. If you subtract the current soon-to-be-dying hype coins naut is in the top ten (edit: ok, maybe top 20). I am pretty sure we didnt have 14 BTC volume at mintpal.

Also, dont forget the total volume for all coins is nowhere near where it was a few months ago.

It's a little less than 2% of the coin population. That's seems low to me. But, either way I'm still HODL!

What wall do you mean? I ask, because i had a look and didn't really see a wall, just looked like regular orders stacked up?

Anyway.. i hope your are right.. volume seems to be picking up, price stable and increasing slightly.. I don'T want it to take off too fast, or people will just dump out. People who have been holding for a while (like me!) and waiting for a better price to dump out because they've run out of patience (unlike me!) are gonna try cashing out if we rise to high too fast.
A nice gradual rise would be nice on increasing volume, then we can say, we have a coin!

The next 24 hours are critical!

there were a couple of "walls" around 2BTC@15k or so the last days that got bought. That just happened again. On the other hand there have been some dumps on big buy orders, too. So take it fwiw.

I agree on everything you said, but I have my doubts thats gonna happen and we manage to leave pump+dump behind us. Because that is what crypto is about lately, sadly enough.

Hey BK. Patient long-term holder here. I know you said you would not give us an ETA on POS but can you at least tell us if it will be implemented in 2014...?

Most of us here aware of 24th of Nov, but BK must release the information much before than that. I give at least a 10 days so we should see on the latest, 10-14th of Nov. Do not wait 24th, you will miss the train.

Therefore, next 2 weeks will be interesting weeks for NAUT  Cool

Time to collect all cheap NAUTs from those sell walls and if you are a short term, hold them at least 2 weeks.
Then you will make a great return Wink (disclaimer: This is my personal thought, you are not bonded with it.)

Even if I sold right now I'd make a decent return (even with the drop in BTC), but I'm not gonna, I've got work to do to help support this coin! Apparently a lot of people are basing their hold stance on me too... which is weird because this is the only thread I'm regularly active in...
