What is it so much more 'in your face' with bitcoin. Banks slowly drain you, bitcoin happens overnight and poof mt gox runs.

Because BTC is a new system that don't need banks, but these big corps who want your money still make their firms run like banks.

Regardless of whether the photo is legit or not, its a fact that cash is the mainstay of the informal economy. No contest. BUT, its legitimate applications are just as apparent. By contrast, Bitcoins "legit" applications are somewhat unclear. Clearly the most common media portrayal of crypto users harps on the (no doubt sensationalized) contingent of drug dealers, child pornographers, arms dealers et al. So what are some non-criminal, non-contraband related exchanges that ye forum dwellers have participated in ? And why should these exchanges be carried out with crypto/Bitcoin rather than with cash or credit ?
Beyond speculative investment and trading, whats the incentive to get involved with Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency beyond access to illicit goods or services?

oh lord that's a shitload of money. when i see something like this, i think wtf is up. if i had 35 fucking million dollars i'd just call it quits and live the rest of my life comfortably. i guess once you get that kind of money, your ego grows and you just need to have more just for to be the top dog. it's how i imagine "our" billionaires to be like as well.
