Solo mining-wallet

Hello.I'm solo mining an altcoin with the wallet.I type setgenerate true and when I type getmininginfo to see the mining details I see that the hashespersec is 0.And,on top of that,the wallet seem to can't sync.How I can solve that?So that the hashespersec is not 0 and I can start mining?Thanks.
