In my opinion, Croatia is one of the secret favorites. Odds of 9:2 are far away from reality, 6:4 or 5:4 are more realistic for Brazil-Croatia.

WTF? Do you seriously think that the odds for Croatia beating Brazil are in the 6:4 - 5:4 range? Come back to your senses. I have no doubt that Croatia is a good team. But are they good enough to beat Brazil? I don't think so. Strictly in my opinion, I would say that the odds of 9:2 are more or less close to the reality. I said the odds for Brazil beating Croatia are 6-5 (Brazil) : 4 (Croatia). That means I also think that Brazil is more likely to win but not at an overwhelmingly high 9:2 probability. People tend to overestimate the abilities of the best teams. Strategy of the weaker teams can be adapted to a great degree and with some luck they can score - they are not amateurs after all. ya.ya.yo! |

Brazil vs Germany in finals
Argentina is great by individual player but i'm not sure how good team they are. Don't count them out.
Uruguay could be strong if they don't mess group stage. Semifinals for them won't be surprise.

The high crime rate prevalent in Brazil is definitely a concern. But that didn't stop South Africa from hosting the world cup in 2010. The crime situation is much worse there. So, I wouldn't say that you should not visit Brazil. But be extra careful while doing so. |
