You need to remember. paypal is a company, BTC is a currency system. Paypal is simply facilitating fiat money transfer. I run a ebay store and my last invoice was $900AUD, for around $4k gross sales. I only made around $1000 profit, so, my fees were equal to the same amount of my profit. Literally half my money. Thats why people need ot think into new ways to keep and sell their products, soo if you had made those trade with bitcoins you would pay something like 50 dollars, maybe and be able to get 1850AUD as profit, did you consider to try to sell with bitcoin into another place?

Bitcoin, is a crytocurrency. It is to confusing for regular people to understand / use as a form of trading goods. eBay is easily accessible, people in most countries are able to use it with ease with paypal and link there credit card and make purchases without any problems. Once again...Bitcoin is a CUREENCY, not a system / business / auction site. Ebay is simply facilitating the trading of goods and services for money. You cannot say if i made those trades i would pay less, because ebay decides the tax rate for there business model. They have protection in place for buyers / sellers (usually buyers, sellers get fucked in the ass) so that is how they justify these high rates. And they have built there business over the years, eBay is a trademark which you can walk into another country and say the word and they will know it, much like Coke or Pokemon, its a brand.

That is right. The ideal situation would be that the Paypal integrates the bitcoin in its payment system and people can use the Ebay.
I don't think that this is going to happen. Because block chain itself is already a paypal service for bitcoin. And I don't think paypal is going to adopt bitcoin as they are just referring and depending on the fiat money. Because they are not going to risk their service into something that is not stable at all they are just like amazon. paypal earning enough money from its users. they don't need to adopt bitcoin at all. paypal have millions of users who satisfied with its services. if they support bitcoin as a side source then it may be fine..

Have you read some news before that the management of coinbase and paypal are trying to collaborate with each other and have some good business? I think that it would be the start there would be limited access to each big whales but thats fine as long as bitcoin is starting to be integrated.

The direct poster will never see about some of your sentences is showing the difference of bitcoin and PayPal, And I think that is so irrelevant if discussing paypal and bitcoin and will better if we are making a compare wallet vs wallet.

Yes, you are true, they take very big fee and their aim isn't to help sellers, they only want to become rich. Look statistics and see what is the ebay's income, it's very huge and their money back guarantee isn't very good. If we would say trust, it's only good for buyer but for seller it's terrible. I know people who had ebay store and sometimes they compulsion you to return money even if you are right, they aren't asking you something in details and some buyers lie when they say that their product is damaged during shipping.

ebay and paypal fees are very annoying, and dont forget that you have to pay ebay 10% of your sales monthly
Yep ebay and paypal fees are over the roof they "steal" so much money from you. But it's because they are big lead competitors of what they do so ofcourse they are trying to take as much out of you as possible just like apple is doing right now with the new iphone

Yeah paypal fees are huge and too many scams involves in paypal payment mode. It is simply waste when we compare with bitcoins. They is not huge fees here and payment also will reach to receiver with in some minutes. bitcoin should replace the paypal asap.

i'm gonna step out of line and say that I can live with the ebay fees. if you can sell elsewhere then there's nothing stopping you but any old shit on there is nearly guaranteed to sell, sometimes for way more than it's worth, and that's worth something to me.
I only sell on there when I get special fee offers these days and they're often really good.

As i see on this thread there are lot of bashers on paypals services and i want to add on that thing is true. If you compared bitcoin to paypal, btc its too far away better in terms of fees and accesibility on any transaction weve made and also paypal do also know your identity unlike on bitcoin you could buy things without compromising your personal info which is good for me and to others who prefer that way.

This is why I love bitcoin. 13.2% Ouch !! What did I break? But that fee includes the Ebay fee of 10%. That is something you have to pay regardless you use bitcoin or not. Yeah paypal and ebay both have fees that's why it's so ridiculous you pay fees trough both systems leaving you with alot less money. Bitcoin removes the paypal fee though since bitcoins don't really have a fee which is nice but we can't get around greedy ebays fee.

Whatever you say, it will not have an impact that is good for your life if you don't use or benefit from bitcoin or paypal with either. advantages and disadvantages of something it's definitely there, so we just chose whichever is more appropriate for our use and don't ever think of something that we haven't done

Paypal indeed has ridiculous fees but so has its brother ebay.. They stack up alot together and that sucks cause you miss alot of money over the time. That's why it will be better to pay with bitcoin when available. Atleast like that you remove paypals fees.
