The slow confirmations are due to the network, not anything you guys have done Take a look at the time between blocks on the block explorer, and it will start to make sense. Hopefully our new version will alleviate any issues with block times. As of right now, you guys shouldn't lose any coins... they will just take a while to transfer.

Looks like that the last blocks are PoW blocks. For some reason bittrex is not accepting them or something as my wallet shows 10 confirmations and bittex shows only 4?

How can you check in which block Bittrex is? https://www.bittrex.com/Status. I made a ticket there and autoreponce came in with the following (see below). I think when the next blocks are to be found, bittrex will update the blocks as well again. With higher amount transactions, it takes longer before the next block is there. Responce bittrex: "If you are having delays with deposits or withdrawals, please understand that blockchains operate at different speeds and it may take some time for transactions to clear. Please check our status page at https://www.bittrex.com/Status to see the status of a wallet at any time. Please be patient."

It should show in their system already if everything is ok. Edit: ticket created, lets wait...

What happens if I send coins and have to switch off my computer before I get any confirmations. Do the coins get sent anyway, or do they stay in my wallet? Once the transaction is broadcast into the network, you can close the wallet, turn off your computer, and cut the circuit breaker; it will still get confirmed as long as the minimum number of blocks have been solved. That's the beauty of P2P systems; they will just keep chugging along. Think about this for a second: even if Joe Schmoe has their wallet offline, as long as I have their address, I could still use the block explorer to see their balance. All of their transactions are broadcast to the network and made public. There are somewhat rare cases where the transaction gets stuck and needs to be rebroadcast to the network. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=195397.0Even those coins aren't lost, they just haven't been loaded into the blockchain yet.
